i make them weekly with staff lunch in the french kitchen. i do apple cider for the liquid. cinna-sugar for the coating. shit, they eat that before the "meat & taters" so to speak.

someone claimed that a certain bakery in the old downtown section of Bemidji made great/over the top donuts. I went to the shop and spied their offering sitting in a glass retail vending cabinet, as I'm diabetic (and also dieting) I bought only 2 figuring one for after supper & one I'd refrigerate for a couple of days down the road, 1 plain & 1 cinnamon.

I put the cinnamon donut in the freezer, after supper I took one bite out of the plain donut and spit it out, repulsive, dry, baked not fried, dense not light, I went into the freezer & chucked that last piece of shit in the garbage too.
