sat & burned one at Hatteras once watching an old boy throwing a retrieving dummy into the surf for his Chesapeake Bay retrievers.
made me wish i had brought my Labrador. never saw dogs look so happy fighting the surf & each other for the "toy"... dogs is durable...well, REAL dogs are.

I used to throw fresh coconuts into a roaring sea for my Rotts/dobi-rotts, and the boxer to retrieve, and they loved it, made them strong.
