Anyone think hacking encourages hermie's?

The reason i ask is because i got my first hermie this grow from a 4th generation strain and the only thing i did different was trim more during flowering.

At what point in the plants life do most of you trim and do you do it in stages or all at once?

i only trim before flowering. a good week to give them time to bounce back.

I just did the simular thing, gave them a good wacking before i go in to flower. If it does not reach the top with in reason, give her the ol ninja chop.

Bottom line, as you know what each strain will do as far as stretch and node production you know where the producing branches are. So unless you want popcorn nugs that are a PITA to trim or hash material, trim all the lower 1/3 at least.

Leaving the "popcorn" on the plant decreases quality and does not increase yield.

Just look at the plant long enough, it'll be obvious what to trim. Just the low-energy stuff that isn't getting a lot of light.
