I dotated a pint of Evan Williams to a hobo the other day. You might think that was a shitty move, but the joy on the guys face will never disappear from my mind. It's like he was shocked that I wasnt judging him.
There really are homeless folks out there that are not merely scamming. With this economy, we will be seeing more.
One thing I do stay away from are the little bell ringer folks at the mall. Only about 20% of that money actually goes to feed the hungry.
I still believe direct donation is the way to go. If you want to help. Take blankets to a mission. Keeps the homeless warm, and we can keep toilet paper in the porta-johns.
And never will bro. I too believe in karma. I never thought of donating like that. Karma see you donateing of yourself, but no matter where it goes (homeless or rich guy) Karma will reward you.
If I'm carrying any bud on me I always give a small amount of money to every beggar I walk by, but I rarely give anything if I'm not carrying bud, that's my policy.
