disc golf anyone?

I'm headed to the corse at noon. Anyone here play?
I'm new to it, but thinking I can stay high and get a good walk I am however a competative old cuss, so any tips?

I have been golfing for nearly 25 years
Great sport, enjoyable day outside. I would not recommend being high though, hard to co ordinate what you arms are doing when you are staring at a little white ball by your feet

The one tip I have is, keep your timing and dont try to "kill" the ball, you will probably take 120 plus swings today, conserve your energy

Hell ya disc golf! I've been playing for four years now and it is an awesome stoner sport. In fact, it is not uncommon to meet folks on the disc golf course and be smoking with them after only a hole or two.

I find it hard to give advice on this sport because I still consider myself a novice but I can point you to pdga.com for an excellent forum and course directory.

sorry dr dog, but im going disc/frisbee golfing.

iv been ball hunting a few times. i hit the water so much that it got expecive. im a crip w/a leg complex. so golf is out. i pull everything.

you shouldv saw me 1st ski trip. snow plow = me doing circles....it took some doing, but I Ski black D now.

Used to play with good ol frisbees back in the day . I bought some golf discs back in the fall so me and my kids could go play . It's free at the local park but we only got to play a couple rounds before the snow hit . be back out there in the spring .

Frisbee golf is one of my most favorite sports. The key is a tight grip so the disc snaps off of your fingers. The more spin the better. I grip it with my first two fingers and thumb, take a couple steps and snap my wrist as hard as I can. Have fun!

hey TL, the nearest disc golf course to my place is about 200 some miles away...(it's near my cabin) but my friends and I make our own course in the nearby woods and fields. only usually play after we're done blazing a bong or two...goodluck!

disc golf rules man, possibly the best sport to be combined with herb consumption, no joke. Always tokin with buddies out on the course or meeting some new people there. It's one of the few places where you can smoke somewhat safely in the public without worried about gettin narced on (as long as the soccermom brigade isnt around), the biggest problem is someone seeing you blazing and wanting you to smoke them out! haha. by the way, its frustrating at first when you kinda suck but once you get the hang of it its a ton of fun.

Out near my area is the nations 1st or 2nd official disc golf place ever established, Southern California in a city called huntington. Let me tell you there are people that can fuckin whirl that frisbee. Im a novice tho, where are you from?

had a blast. was 23 degrees and wind was blowing 29 mph, but still hAd a good time. I will be back.

I've been frolfing for about 4 or 5 years. I live in oklahoma so its usually quite windy, but you just have to adjust. I'm a two finger specialist.

I have never met cooler people than when I'm out at the course. Everyone smokes and those who don't just don't care.

i must say its one of the most addictive sports I've ever partaken in...i have about 4 courses within 20 minutes of me so I'm out there 5 days a week....all my disc are innova's and i must say for a beginner....grab yourself a sidewinder and an archangel to learn your drives on....and spend about 20 minutes before you play a round on your putts...it'll lower your strokes more than you'd imagine.....cheers.

Hey thats the game that I played high and my friend lost his keys, we were sooo baked. It is great to just watch the disc grab hold to the air and soar forever! I must say, I don't one-putt and I don't know if I one-putt is the word, I just took it from golf. Yea, but we lost the keys to my friends car and were 250 miles from home...so we just partied at a college and stayed there with some stoners.

Just be responsible, nothing is going to get a disc golf course shut down faster than if stoners see it as a place to get high out in the open. Ive seen it happen before. Most of these places are free and only there because of loose agreements between loyal disc golfers and the city that owns the land. If they field too many complaints from local neighbors you'll show up one day for a quick nine holes only to find they removed all the baskets.

I played a few rounds back in the early 80's @ the Kensico Dam in Valhalla NY, actually there were a LOT of fine folks catching a buzz on the course and just as many stoners tossing frisbee & enjoying the plaza at the foot of the dam.......
We had the old beer garden at the top of the dam too, those were the days.

cant believe i posted here yesterday. i was wild w/turkey...


as i said it was windy and cole, buta great time was had. the course, 7 oaks in nashvlle, is only 5 mins from my house. there are many courses here and imagonna play them all.

i will go get me good disc now

it was funny to break my pipe. we all lol and said it was a mini bottle. the woman standing behind us had a dead shirt on and said, " everyone should have one" as she handed me a shard.
