The point I was trying to make is that reality is whatever we perceive it to be, even if compared to anyone else we are wrong. If I perceive something to be a different color then everyone else, someone telling me I'm wrong isn't going to make me see that color differently.
Conspiracy theorists make another good example, you can present proof after proof of how or why their particular theory is wrong and yet they'll continue to find a way to see it there way because for them that is reality. If a proof is to hard to just dismiss they will then claim it was planted by the conspirators to hide the conspiracy.
