Temps at canopy are usually around 80 degrees.
I'm growing in coco coir with perlite and feeding them botanicare progrow (1/2 tablespoon per gallon of 6.0 PH water). I'm still not sure why the leaves are folding so much but i killed some aphids yesterday and they looked like they were feeding on the leaves. Could these dark spots be from them? Thanks for the reply and sorry i didn't give more info!
It looks like Ca & Mg deficiency. Does progrow contain any Ca/Mg?
The leaves on top look unhealthy and the curled margins are often seen in Mg def plants.
The brown spots look like Ca deficiency. Are any of the other leaves hooked at the tip?
If your tap water is soft (contains little Ca,Mg and other minerals) you will see deficiencies unless you are supplementing them.
I dont have experience with aphids but there is probably a lot of info if you do a search, they are a common garden pest.
I tend to think that Ca/Mg is the problem here though.
yes I agree with spots being Ca shortage and interveinal clorosis being Mg shortage ... BUT if you google 'Mulders Chart' you will see it's chemically impossible to have a shortage of BOTH of these elements at the same time!
so if yr plant is not accessing these elements you have something very wrong with yr pH. a lockout, in fact.
what other pH tests can you do? if yr using a pen ... is it calibrated?
also i just started testing my ph and i made sure that they are getting 5.8ish water now
i'm using general hydroponics ph tester (the drip into container and shake thing)
