You can absolutely get buds for $3k a pound. Most of the time they are pumped full of synthetic chemical nutrients, flushed poorly, cured poorly, trimmed with a trim machine, have traces of floramite and eagle 20, and are a boring high yielding strain, etc...But nobody in my circle who grows organic OG, Bubba, etc are letting anything go for less than $3800-4000....and it's usually spoken for before it's even done curing

then again I can also get a steak dinner at Applebee's for $11.99. That doesn't mean I want it

Hilarious. Some people really think their shit doesn't stink, don't they? Doubt anyone would wanna be in circles with pompous pricks in them. Trying to shit on other peoples herb, shows just how petty a person is.

I've smoked "organic" buds that tasted like ass, (yes, you CAN taste excess guano and other "organic" nutes"), and "synthetic chemical pumped" herb that tasted & smoked like a dream! It's all up to the grower. I prefer mine to taste good, and burn clean, don't really give a shit if it's organic or not. Acting like a pretentious snobby tool over method of fertilization, trimming, etc is stupid, and shows a persons true nature.

Time to hop off my soapbox.

It is kind of disgusting to think 'medicine' is treated with products like Floramite and Eagle20. It all comes down to your own perspective on health and wellness. For me, I'll avoid pesticides sold as ornamental/lawn chemicals. Which is why I love being able to grow my own weed.... I don't have to rely on someone who is profit driven to grow my smoke.

I've only seen a couple of ops that kept the quality up high, while pumping out the quantity. Ya'll know who you are! One of the best, if not THE best, grow-couples running a grow out there. SubCool and MzJill ain't got shit on GM and CG, fo SHO!!! And besides the skill and care they show with the nugz they produce, they're cool as fuck! I count my actual FRIENDS on less than my 10 fingers; G and C both got a permanent spot on dat list... 4 LYFE!

dude this is funny..do you not think i know what good herb is?! the weed i get for 3k~ a lb is nothing like what you described. i usually get organic soil either that or super flushed quality frosty nugs, and i'll be damned if any bud i buy goes through a trim machine. speak for you damn self.

Agreed. I tried to teach this guy how to grow a long time ago, he thought that the more ferts he used the better his yields would be, he used WAY more nutes than I told him to... nutes were Earth Juice and his yields suffered and his weed tasted like shit... literally.

I prefer organic but won't turn down well grown hydro.

There is still a wide range of qualities/perceptions of 'round here.
Some of these dispensaries aren't helping either, or more accurately these LAWS aren't helping.
Just think back to when you were a kid, though.

However, relentless pursuit of perfection shouldn't be interfered with ego, selfpride, and elitism.

If you are in a social situation it's rude to refuse a puff, no matter the source.....

Quality in anything you do is extremely inmportant, but I think a lot of sales price has to do with "who you know..." I think the younger crowd has a distinct advanatge, as they are naturally more social and meet more people.. and therfore more opportunities are presented.

I know older growers that grow great weed but have no idea who to contact to sell it, so they go to the broker that works at the ski/bike/hydro store and dump it there... if they had a cousin or nephew at some University they'd get more cash...... of course, they'd risk more, too... maybe having to drive it somewhere, or front it...
