Thanks to Verdant for the opportunity to run a pack of these.

Popped overnight in water and straight into compost.

Then i managed to drop the tray all over the floor and was lucky to retrieve all ten , nearly the shortest thread ever.

Haveing survived that dodgy start in life they should fare well , to be grown out untopped after a decent veg , males as well , keeping the best as a late flower clone and the obvious F2 along the way.

I'm thinking about buying a pack of these as well. I'll be watching yours for sure.

good stuff foomar, lol at dropping the tray... i had a similar experience myself a while back. got a few cuts sent to me and a couple of days after potting them up i tipped them all off their shelf and they landed on their heads. they were all ok except one, which of course was the one i had wanted the most - this one snapped clean in two, so i have to use the top half as a clone and try to re-root it. luckily it just managed to produce more roots before it faded away and i saved it.

what i sent you were F2s, so if you make seeds you will have the first F3s!

Thanks for the interest and warm welcome.

Pricked out into first pots , healthy enougth in some pretty grotty compost , deep planted to hide a little stretch from an unnoticed bulb failure.

Had their first few and hopefully last spidermites , used floramite to finish them off , leaves were quite shiny till then.

I know they are far too young to judge , but they seem more similar than most F2,s have run at this early stage.

Starting to pick up speed , not as similar now at node 4/5 , cute and compact.

Temporarily replaced a dead cool white with a lesser wattage of 6500k daylight cfl , and the plants are doing much better despite suposedly less usefull energy.

Thanks abird , these are mostly still under a 65 watt daylight cfl , certainly keeping them compact , four nodes in an inch of stem , but a long way to go if waiting for clones.

Will take a chance on reveg/late flower clone and run them as soon as reasonable untopped , now i have confidence in this process.

Slight hashy sort of smell on them , bit too young to start rubbing stems but plenty of that later later on.

Have been test revegging every plant for the practice in various ways and light schedules and am confidant that most/all will make it.

Chop day clones have been a bit more reliable for me than a reveg on the old rootstock , i also find better rooting at four weeks flower than in veg and you have a hint as to its worth at that stage.

However , nearly all my plants have been quite sativa , these more indica so i hope they respond in a similar way.

Like to flower them untopped first run to see the native shape and stucture , which will never be seen again in production runs , if they make the grade.

Dont know if its the low temps or the 6500k lights , or both , but they are very compact at six nodes/six inches , good solid roots on repotting.

Some variation now in fan stem length and sideshooting , all cute , and some rich aromas for veg when disturbed.

Rate of growth is so far comparible to Caseys queen and Casey F2,s running alongside , but much slower than nine Burmese kush x NYCD sown the same week and now in flower.

Spreading by the day now after a slow start , will hang another bulb to give them space , might flower under a 400 cmh.

You can definitely see the variants from plant to plant. I like how tight the node spacing is.

Flouros will definitely keep plants short and compact, especially if you keep em close.

They look fantastic and ready to explode. Are you flowering under cmh to continue to keep them short?

They do seem particularly compact , think the daylight bulbs may be contributeing to this , but its so cold am suprised anything is growing much.

Might get an early clone of most of them by flowertime.
One grew an inch in spread last night , growth rate about to surge.

Both these plants were sown within a few days , and have had the same grim conditions.

The Cherrijuana have grown as expected and similar to most of type , the more sativa 12 - 16 week BK x NYCD seem strangely unaffected by the low temps , a pure haze is also growing well.

The Burmese cross from Annac have gone quite mad and should have been thrown straight into 12/12.

Will flower them together under a seperate 400 watter and seperate the males just before they spooge , sodium at first if the CMH has not turned up , should be the space for a half dozen girls to spread out into.

Suprised that Phillips/Sylvania did not carry on to develop a 600 w CMH that could run on a digital ballast , i would swap to them and so would others i know.

Haveing to run a modern bulb with a thirty year old less efficient ballast like i sold on a decade ago , seems a bit too silly.

Has anybrave soul actually tried running a CMH on a digital ballast or done so by accident ?

Dont know if the problem is design or build quality.
