Has anyone ever visited the birth place of BUDDHA? In Lumbini , southern Nepal.
THere has been a "buddha boy " found in the same place, his mothers name is the same as buddha's was, also there is some docmented footage of this boy meditating under a tree. it was filmed in nepal by some locals , then put up on youtube. My inlaws live very close to here. watch it, very informative!!!!

Here is another BETTER clip of 16 yr old Buddha Boy in Nepal

This clip has interviews of BUDDHA BOY born in the same place as the orginal Buddha, this clip offers great interviews with his family, apprarantly he hasn't eaten for 6 months in this clip.
Chek it out, this is in SOUTHERN NEPAL NEAR LUMBINI where Buddha was born.

“Climbing a mountain entails difficulty. And the higher the mountain is, the greater are the difficulties that a climber faces. However, once he reaches the summit, he will be able to savor a state of mind far greater than that attained by those who handily climb lesser peaks.” - Daisaku Ikeda

What matters most is that we honor the Buddha's words. As a rule,
people in the world value what is distant and despise what is near, but
this is the conduct of the ignorant. Even the distant should be
repudiated if it is wrong, while what is near should not be discarded
if it accords with the truth. Even though people may revere [their
predecessors' doctrines], if those doctrines are in error, how can we
employ them today?

Buddhahood is the most difficult to demonstrate. But since you possess
the other nine worlds, you should believe that you have Buddhahood as
well. Do not permit yourself to have doubts. Expounding on the human
world, the Lotus Sutra says, "The Buddhas wish to open the door of the
Buddha wisdom to all living beings."... that ordinary people born in
the latter age can believe in the Lotus Sutra is due to the fact that
the world of Buddhahood is present in the human world.

"Adversity gives birth to greatness. The greater the challenges and
difficulties we face, the greater opportunity we have to grow and
develop as people. A life without adversity, a life of ease and
comfort, produces nothing and leaves us with nothing. This is one of
the indisputable facts of life."

"One who has mastered himself is truly free. Freedom lies in the heart
of the sage, servitude in the heart of the fool."

By the way: UPDATE! The kid got busted for having food snuck to him at night by family members. He never went six months without food or any time without food, as his father finally confessed. If the kid was lying about having not eaten, what the hell else are you going to believe? I read the article about him getting busted for lying months ago. It's old news.

Bonzo. Here I is. Confirm to Sleepy that nothing terminal is going on here. This is how it's done.

Bonz, being a fellow drinker who no longer drinks, let me share my personal experience. I know how scary it is, because I know how hard it is to stop. How do you ever just stop? You gotta go back to a day at a time, and you can do that with Gohonzon and sincere daily daimoku. Get sober for a day, then two, then three. Make that three turn into to four and then more. Day after day, you'll hit a week, then two, then a month, and you'll be back on track. Get it done. You are not yourself if you are drinking when you shouldn't be.

Much love and deepest respect,

T (Thanks Sleepy!)
