I just bought me a box of 600w Digilux HPS bulbs and all i have to say is HOLY SHIT! These suckers are BRIGHT! really makes me wonder how I was getting by with the last bulbs I was using...
These 600w Digilux HPS bulbs are said to have a spike in the blue and purple spectrum and it is very evident when the bulbs are running and it almost looks as if they are MH bulbs because the red/orange tinge is almost invincible.
Here is a product description:
Digilux Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium bulbs are favored by growers because of the wide color spectrum and efficiency. They are engineered for use in digital ballasts and feature enhanced red and orange spectrums (HPS) blue spectrums (MH), better color uniformity, longer bulb life, and less lumen depreciation.Digilux bulbs are hot start approved and can be used in both vertical and horizontal fixtures. DigiLux lamps offer superior performance compared to traditional metal halide and H.P.S. lamps.Digilux MH bulbs deliver 25% more energy in the red and orange spectrums as well as 25% more energy in the blue, violet, and green spectrums for the HPS bulbs.
Initial lumens: 95,000 compared to Hortilux 600W Super HPS with 88,000 lumens
anyways, was just wondering if anybody else here uses these bulbs? if so, how do you like them? They are said to be better then the EYE Hortilux bulbs... which were some good ass bulbs.... another cool think about these digilux bulbs is the packaging they come in! By far the coolest packaging I have ever seen for a bulb! Its about time a company puts some time into the packaging! If im spending 80-90 a bulb, the damn box better look cool!
