Bud Washing

We wash everything else we consume, don't we?

We recommend washing 100% of your cannabis harvest.

The cannabinoids in your buds are fat-soluble; a gentle wash does not disturb the potency of your product and will prevent you from combusting and inhaling dirt, hair, and dust, leading to a far cleaner smoke than you're used to.

HOW WE DO IT

Take 3 clean 5-gallon buckets and fill them with Reverse Osmosis (RO) water. If RO not available, use filtered water.

Dissolve 1/4 cup Lemon Juice and 1/4 cup Baking Soda into the 1st bucket.

Gently dip, swish, and swirl your freshly cut colas into Bucket 1, then rinse them off by swirling them in buckets 2, then 3.

Be careful not to smash them into the sides or bottoms of the buckets.

Drip dry, and cure as normal.

Harvesting Cannabis With Bugs Or Mildew

Harvesting cannabis is a time-consuming, but straightforward process that involves removing fan leaves from your buds and drying them. And while an indoor cannabis plant will usually be completely clean, i.e. pest- and mold-free, harvesting an outdoor plant can come with some nasty surprises. In this article we discuss washing cannabis buds at harvest to remove all sorts of wildlife you’d rather not be smoking later on.

I soak mine in the tub in cold water right for two hours after cutting to wash off any residue from any of the non-toxic pest fighters I use. It also drowns spider mites and other crawlies and washes them away.
