Hello people of knowledge. Ive been growing for about a year and love it. Very theraputic. Ive read countless articles on here, upgraded my grow space, but am still getting the same results. There is really two problems. EVERY grow I get what I think is rust. Looks like rust. It starts out looking like a small patch of shiny area where a slug might have crawled over and left his slime. Small though. It soon darkens to a rusty dark coulor. It spreads very quickly and causes the leaf to die. Here is a pic...
Im growing in Sunshine mix #4 with a little extra perlite and a very small amount of EWC. Like 2 cups in 1.75 gallons of mix.
The plants are about 3 weeks to a month old. I am feeding at 6.3-6.5 ph with botanicare grow and liquid karma. Could this be calcium? I am not feeding any extra cal/mag and never have. I thought with botanicare organics I didnt have to. Point is Im fed up. I just need some help. Its not like I can bring joe-blow guy over to diagnose my plants, eh? Ive got more beans if this dosent work out, Im just worried its rust disease. My temps are 68-74 in veg and around 30 % rh. I alson have good venting. A wise man once told me that Rust disease can live in some old apple trees, and my window which i draw air into is right next to a GIANT apple tree...Any truth to this???? Another problem is lots of purpling.....
Any other info you need let me know...
If anyone has any FOOL PROOF feeding routines they could give me id appreciate. Ive got all the goodies....PH tester digital, ferts, etc, just things aint workin out.....
