Just curious how long everyone let their bubblicious flower for? I just harvested one of two females I got from my pack at 9 weeks....then I went to the nirvana website and saw they listed flower times of 9 to 11 weeks. The plant looked ripe and trichs were cloudy (haven't tasted it yet...) but I'm wondering if I should have left it longer...

Abe, That is a great question since I am in the middle of my flowering period and wondering the same thing. The Farmers tell me to check trich color to determine when the plant should be chopped. They suggest 80% to 90% cloudy and 10% to 20% amber color to harvest an indica. Too much amber indicates the plant has exceeded its' peak of potency. I'll be using my radio shack 100X microscope at an outlandish cost of $15 to check them. The weeks in flower should be a guideline. By the way how long should the AK48s go? They are supposed to be fast matures.

I cut my 3 AK-48's at 56 days from the switch. They were about 10-15% amber and if I looked hard enough I could still find a single straggling clear one here and there.

Dear Mayorofthdesert, You are a pal and thanks for the heads up on the AK48s. What lights were you using and what medium did you grow in. I have mine under a 400watt HPS and 400watt MH, and I am growing with MG organic soil with fox farm big bloom and tiger bloom plus molasses. Thanks again on the flower time.

im at day 60ish from light switch and it could go a couple more days. i took a mini harvest lastnight trimming off all the lower buds that wasnt getting much light n the trix were 5050 clearcloudy thru 100x microscope. i tried a oven dried sample thru a homemade beercanpipe and the smoke was suprisingly good. it had a nice sweet taste with a hint of laquor from the beercan. cant wait till its dried, cured, and smokin in my glass piece! its my first indoor grown under a 150w hps. she was started n late nov and vegged for a month and a week under floros till the last few days when i got my 175w mh goin.as for soil it was MGorganic choice mixed with LC's mix. for feeding i used ewc tea with bone n kelp meal mixed with a shot of blackstrap once every 10 days or so. i fear she may be chopped early due to space issues

Here's my bubblelicious and AKs at 6th week of flowering. They have frosted up really well. Keeping them short has increased the effectiveness of the 400 watt HPS and 400 watt MH. These buds are much denser and sticky than my previous bag seed grow. I only had one 400 watt MH, not HPS. Organic soil with fox farm nutes . The 2 AKs and one bubblelicious are really frosty. I'm thrilled with the results.

Here are my 65 day AK48 and Bubblelicious before chop. Nice smell on AK, not a lot on this bubblelicious. I am letting my other AK and BG go to 70 days. Hang time and jar coming right up. I like the results with organic soil and fox farm nutes.Attachments
