New serious measures are being taken in the Dutch coffeeshop policy. The expected new Dutch rightwing Parliament has planned to impose a new pass system for coffeeshops. The passes are only available for people over 18 years of age and are in possession of a Dutch passport.
It basically comes down to the fact that tourists can't visit coffeeshops in The Netherlands anymore. However, it is not clear whether there will be exemptions for the coffeeshops in the big cities and in the border areas.
Another new policy that will be established is the 350 meter distance to schools. Coffeeshops that are in a radius of 350meters walking distance from a school will be closed.
So far the bad news..
