Another episode that layers in more interplay between the main characters. The meeting between Gus & Walt was the highlight of the show.

Saul: Go, get to it before the feds do.
Walter: And do what exactly? I mean, what ... The thing, the thing is the size of a, of a... It's RV size! I mean, where do I go to make an RV disappear? I'm not David Copperfield!
Saul: What do I look like, the RV disposal people? Did you not plan for this contingency?
Walter: No.
Saul: Well, next time plan for it, would ya? The Starship Enterprise had a self-destruct button. I'm just saying.

Walt will pay for the best physical therapist for hank, and then later when hank finds out what Walt is doing, he will be torn because without Walt's help, he would be in a wheelchair.

They laid the ground work for a lot of long term stuff in this episode

good insight... i think i will have to agree

i hope hank gets hooked on something while in the hospital

i was thinking the same thing.. when he said he needed more pain meds i was for sure thinking that he is gonna get hooked... only time will tell...

Hank faked the nerve test. Both places on the foot were dead, then he realized Marie needed to hear something positive to give her some hope that he wouldn't end up in a wheelchair.

Walt should have been proud of Skyler's creativity, he's going to have stacks more cash with the extended arrangement. She may end up being Walt's accountant/manager.

Now how long until Jesse's next beating? And can they please kill off Better Call Saul? He's not Gus' guy and will end up causing shit for laundering Jesse's skim.
I had this problem, too. I had to turn the volume down by 25 every commercial. So ghey.

me 3! lets call and bitch and tell them we aren't watching their show anymore until they fix the sound...

I wanted to say thank you to Julian, as he is the person that got me started watching breaking bad.
You probably won't remember me as we discussed it in one of my past lives here, lol.
But I wanted to say your right, this show kicks ass!!!!!!!!!
I'm very, very picky about my shows :smoke:

Quite welcome. Pleasures mine. (the more people watch and like it, the more likely it stays on longer :smoke:......I was worried pilot wasn't going to do it...)

Was watching the next week clip..."vestiges"?........."yeah.....vestiges" :biglaugh:

yeah I dont think Hank could feel anything that the Dr was doing to his legs....This was a great episode, I think next weeks will be CRAZY....the previews made it seem like it was going to be the best episode ever on tv...Best show on television, hands down....

This is abit off the topic, but if you like this show, you have to check out "East Bound and Down" not quite the same shows, but its for like minded people....East bound and Down is fucking great too...Ya'll will love it.

Note on the above to anyone whose a fan, and, I always strongly recommend to people...

AMC Breaking Bad site will always give you a upcoming clip ("Sneak Peaks"-always a meaningless one....nothing revealed).......but also, every episode, a director/writer/actor commentary....("Inside Season 3-Episodes 1-9, etc)

(For example, I think first episode, they went over those were "the cousins", which wasn't shared I think until several episodes later, etc).....

Director and actors will give commentary as to the mindset of the characters, certain scenes and actions and so on....(lot of people realize new things after watching an episode after watching those.....)

A real fan would have to see those :smoke:....(and would know more about the show, what is taking place, etc....)

What was the deal with Walt trying to kill himself after being told he can make 15 mil a year for as long as he wants? Was he happy or sad?
Did he tell Jesse about this deal? Probably not, otherwise Jesse wouldn't be trying to sell his third of a pound on the side. Or would Jesse still not be happy with 7.5 mil a year, knowing that dude is making like 50 times that?
Btw, im starting to hate Jesse's character. I thought dude was a lovable goofball, but it seems the more competent he got, the more of an a-hole he's turning out to be. Or maybe its because hes sober. Maybe some people should stay high.

I can see Hank getting addicted to pills down the road. Its the legal drug for opiate addicts. Although dude is in a bad way; shot four times, his body's got to be on fire now...

I was hoping they would address that and director/actor comment on that in the "inside season" clips.....

Jesse is an idiot and will never be happy. I think he is meant to represent the ever expanding tweeker class. Stupid fucktards that think about nothing but themselves. I have half a family full of them. Im sure he wasnt happy with the 5th box, the semester was over.

I have a feeling that skinny Pete will end up getting killed over Jesse's stupidity just like combo did.

Next semi-regular character to get killed IMO
Skinny Pete

Anyone else want to take a guess?

i was wondering the same thing.... i have a feeling that whatever they discussed, it was something VERY extreme... i dont recall them agreeing on 15 million? i recall them beginning to talk and then the scene changed (or was that when i took that huge bong hit?:chin:) perhaps they agreed on something that we will find out next episode or later in the season?

A lot happened and not very much.

The meeting between walt and chickenman was HUGE, and walt pussed out BIG TIME. Thats why he was borderline suicidal on the road, he could see that the chickenman don't give a fuck and will slay anyone at anytime... and his freedom was GONE. Walt and jesse can't cook ever again without becoming chickenmans enemy and becoming slain... Walt has again lost control and it tears his soul. Walt you should have taken a harder stance and more money goddamnit. Jesse was right you are getting wrecked on your share... Chickenman is the property owner and material supplier but they deserve at least 20% for full production.

Jesse @ the recovery meeting... Hilarious, he always makes me laugh at some retardedly clever shit.

Damn skylar is one ruthless bitch. She had me going there for a minute with the 'he was doing it for his family, I understand now', but then the venom and those EYES at the end... She made a power play and won, it was a huge victory for skylar because now she can take advantage of walt in a public way by throwing around some money.

Shit i had forgotten about saul! Poor saul, genius and fool for dealing with jesse. Jesse is too obsessed with being an outlaw and some sort of badass that he can't heed saul's words. Saul is the shit, if I could hire him I would do it in a second. What a great character. Why dosen't walt and jesse understand how important saul is to their survival? The dirty deeds guy saul is the ultimate pro and they NEED him on their side.

WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT TILL SUNDAY?? :cathug:

ahh stoned rants, thanks for this thread guys its great :jump:

The wife and I went over several different theories about his driving craziness. My theory was that he was upset with himself for not bargining more and getting a better rate after the first 3 months.

My wifes theory, which sounds better, was that he was on such a high and or adreniline rush from 'putting all the cards on the table' that he really didnt know how to handle it. Suicide attempt? probably not. Feeling invincible and needing to be deflated? something like that.

just our thoughts anyway :2cents:

jesse is starting to go on my nerves. he makes 1,5 millions and feels the need to sling some on the side with his crew of clowns?? i cant believe that shit.

skylar is one sociopathic lying bitch how she pulled out that story about walts gambling problem out of her ass. wtf?? she and her sister are the most annoying characters on this show i cant stand those two. still hoping for walt to tell her to fuck off at one point, but i guess its not gonna happen...
why did walt tell them two psycho ladies how much money he has? skylar will milk the shit out of him.

saul is awesome too bad theyn ever listen to him lol!

It doesn't matter if the women take all his money, that's why he's doing it in the first place. Skylar has actualy given him a way to explain a major cash flow.

It wasn't explained, but why couldn't Walt's episode in the car be his cancer comming back? It's about time Walt's own health comes into play again.

The cartel may be over, but, we have not seen the last of Don Salamanca,,,ding.

Combo didn't get killed because of Jesse, he got killed because of Walt pushing to expand.

I want more flashbacks,..love that shit.

15 million a year with an open ended contract was my understanding.

And that's a great deal.
When people say that Walt's getting screwed, not really IMO, where is he going to make anything close to that on his own?
Gus has the expense of all that equipment, building the lab, his distribution network, etc..... all taking a piece.
15 mil, for a few hours a day cooking, and no worries beyond it, is a huge deal.

The driving was just stress relief for everything that's happening, like screaming at the top of your lungs, instead of screaming, he floored it, same thing IMO

Jesse sent Combo to that neighborhood to sell, Jesse's fault, Walt said expand, but not specifically where to go, Walt doesn't know those things, that's where Jesse came in.
Jesse made a bad call and it got Combo killed

Im thinking Walt was feeling guilty about Hank being shot, so he was playiing chicked with his own life.....either that or the meeting with the Chickenman wasn't what he wanted to hear...not sure....
