Brand new MH bulbs flicker but won't fire

That's strange. I'm traveling so I don't have mine available to play with, but I wonder how they are correcting the power disruption from the saw to arrive at what the heat lamp is doing?

Dunno. I just know what the instrument shows me & the basic theory of how capacitance is used to correct the PF on inductive loads.

The killawatt meter is one of those computerized dingleberry thingies programmed to do damned near anything. It's a good thing I don't have to understand it to use it. It may calibrate itself when first plugged in for all I know.
