bought an E.C meter but got sent a ppm meter

hey guys i already have a ppm meter but im going to be doing coco grows so i went on ebay and bought an EC meter but the guy has gone and sent me a tds ppm meter now im arguing the difference but he is saying they are both the same thing

am i the one looking stupid or don't i need an E.C meter ?

TDS , PPM & EC are all the same , just different conversions that all go back to EC .

heres the chart to show the conversions & to help with your confusion ....

that meter reads in TDS , just follow the chart i gave you to see what it equates to in EC .

like 500ppm/tds would be 1.0 EC

& you can feed by ppms or tds , but when talking here or asking questions about the feed strength , talk in EC so everyone knows what strength your talking about .
TDS & PPM all convert over to EC

my meter (oakton ) reads in TDS .......

& do yourself a favor ..... invest in a better meter if your going to be growing in coco . it has to be accurate & those meters are NOT !!!
bluelabs are the best , but Oaktons aren't bad either .
