rule35sub1 Thanks for the tip buddy, I think im just gonna get some black hose..getting to much flack about it!!lol... :smoke:

Not gonna change it untill next round...
Ive already done enought upgrading for this show.

Plants have taken on a extreamly healthy state, the stems now larger then bamboo supports!! This is what I look for. Big stalks = Big bud.

You can see how pruning changes the entire way the plant grows(compare older pics). These need some more pruning, however they formed very nicely. No more sickley looking leaves, just lush dark green growth.

Currently I am using Lucas 5ml micro 10ml bloom and Sensizyme 20ml per 4
liters.
PPM - 570

Finally made it back to show you all this!!

I finally have a trimeter!!! so stoked on that!! For now it's external to the system, but dont worry i'll have it implemented soon!!
9118newtoy_.jpg

that is lucas formula. nothing else. 5ml micro 10ml bloom per 4 liters/gallon. As you can see folks, perfect values for hydroponics.

Speaking of the garden, they are growing as expected!! I little bit taller and KPOW!! flower time.

a canopy shot.

thought i'd throw in a little root porn to the mix!!

another

and of course to finish it off, the sacred fat stalk..

just to clear up confusion, for others trying to figure out this lucas formula.

5 ml micro & 10 ml bloom per gallon was a lighter 'low light' like cfl's strenght.
it is recommended to do 8/16 from veg to flush. you want 8/16 to yield 1300ppm

more info on lucas formula

5/10 won't hurt the plants, just leaving them a bit hungry for more.

Im glad you asked about that, because Ive been meaning to talk a bit about vegetative nutes.
btw, before I blaze ahead, I dont recommend 0-5-10 as a veg formula actually, I only recommend it as a low light formula..

now lets talk about vegging

if newly rooted clones are transplanted into containers that are going to veg under fluoros, that is a sort of weak light situation, and using weak nutes makes sense, ~1000 ppm

but after the first week or two of fluoros, if the plants move to strong light, HPS light, or MH light, but with big lamps, you know, not fluoros, what is referred to as HID lighting.. then I want them to see full strength nutes.. 0-8-16.. ~13-1400ppm

mpro: the lucas formula is

---> 5ml micro 10ml bloom per gallon during veg
---> 8ml micro 16ml bloom per gallon during flower

Doesn't get any easier than this

Mpro - never ever had an issue using the lucas formula like this, however i occasionally do add a few additives that brings me to around 800ppm when using 5ml/10ml. I dont like running my PPM levels that high, if the plants were hungry i would see it, nothing but dark green lush growth. Averaging about an 1 -1.5 inches a day in new growth.

I will not change this feeding schedule. To much success to start messing around with what works. If the plants were being underfed it would reflect in my reseviour ppm. It doesnt, I still recommend 5ml 10 bloom as a base nutreint profile in veg.HID or floro

blunt: It is obvious that you are having great success using this ratio, and by no means was I trying to get you to change what you where doing. I was just pointing out that 5/10 was a 'low light' 'lower strength' version of the 1300ppm 8/16 mixture which everyone calls lucas formula.

shit gets confusing when you read 2 posts saying the same thing, yet having different numbers.

mpro - No problem mang!! keeping it as clear as possible on how i run the system. Like i say i use other additives to achieve a higher ppm level in veg sometimes.

I once strayed from these levels in veg, and all sorts of burn going on..I was a bit newbish back then..so it's quite possible it was me!!

I constanly update and tweak my system, and do make small changes every round. Maybe next round i will try a higher PPM level as suggested. Thanks for the link! keep checking in for more!

Hey Blunt, hows it goin?

Noticed you started a new thread and thought I would stop in. Wow, things are lookin' professional over here. That system looks awesome.

I have never seen a picture of roots floating in the nutrient solution like that. Cool man. Looks like you got the hang of that new camera. :D

Keep them pics coming.

Hey Jedi!! Thanks for stopping in!! I was hoping to see some more familer faces pop into my new thread. Thanks for the props man!

But yeah, things are progressing nicely, and the upgrades to the trays appear to be doing the goods. The roots now are growing more lateral(important according to SOMA!) The air strips are still bubbling strong.

T.doT.Toker - I cant take all of the credit. The Magic Trays are mostly to blame. Thanks for stoping in man!

I highly recommend the Tri-meter! After only using it a few weeks, I absolutly love having the extra data at my disposal. Having the PH meter is a huge improvment on accuracy over using the drops. I already had a temp monitor, however I now monitor the upper trays and lower Rez trays temps now!! The Magic Trays are super stable as you can see! If everything is perfect, so will the be the buds.

Made some weekend super potent hash using my screens last night, took about 10 min.

This is what plants do when they are about to sleep(pic was taken 5 min before lights out).
