Moist or wet? Can I just raise the level in my bucket to be at the bottom of my cutting in the hydroton?Lol yeah, alcohol whipe the scalple make one clean cut angled clip the leaf tips and keep the clonex dipped stem moist at all times, also itl help to mist the cutting every few hrs at first not totally neccsary but it helps
Yeah my plan was to top these anyway, so if I am going to be cutting I might as well take extra. I wonder how much these rapid rooters cost at the hydro store..You could but you'd want lots of bubbles hittin that area,in my dwc,I have that ring simular to yours but I have a 1/4" straight barb with a piece of air line going to the top center of the netpot top.it should work that way but if you want a forsure your gonna get a successful cut I'd get a few rapid rooters and take more than 1 that way you have a couple of spares to fall back on.
I remember reading uncle bens topping technique some time back. I am hoping I can just use the cuts I will have to make as clones.I'll post ya a pic in a min
As always, thanks man! I didnt mean flower them out today, but probably in the next week or so. I dont know if you watched my last grow, but things got a bit out of control towards the end because of my limitied height.Good morning Giant,
I would still take a cutting, even after they start to stretch in the first week or two of flower. At least cutting one so you have the genetics... Vegging them out isn't a bad idea either, you CAN top or prune a little more if things get to wild, in fact I have found that thinning fan leaves and lower branches, as well as pruning and training the tops is basically mandatory on a fast growing hydro setup.
Technically you could flower off now, but will that use the most of your 600w? or 1200w? I would be skeptical. But none the less, I'm sure the quality will be there and it sounds like quality is your main goal. Each grow is a learning process for the grower so no matter what I bet you're learning a bunch?
I will continue to watch your excellent grow!
