BlockHead IBL & UltraSonja....Here we go......no turning back now.

This is my 1st gro log in my 3 yrs here so ive decided to show my grow for all interested. im a C5-C6 quad that smokes to control my spasms and not living in a med state is what has kept me from doing a gro log thus far.

ive been very fortunate to have found the dank meds offered by Steele @ GrindHouse, and a few in this community have gifted me some quality cuts but this show will feature BlockHead IBL & Ultra Sonja and then MobBoss & DMT once they drop.

i plan on keeping all males and females for a few runs until i feel comfortable choosing the keepers. i will encourage all to give input on what traits to look for.

i grow in coco ammended with worm castings (~15%) and powder DE and recently started growing in totes w/o any drainage. i have a u shaped piece of pvc buried and the horizontal part of the u has holes drilled in it......this helps get fresh o2 in the root zone. i grow small plants in higher #'s b/c they are easier for me to manipulate / move w/o knocking em over. the smaller plants = less veg time and i hope to avoid any salt build-up but if there is any build-up ill switch back to pots and water dtw.

i have a sensative chem cut that gets grown in soil but moving toward an organic soil grow so its possible to see her in this thread when i get MobBoss here.

ill have pics up soon but waiting on my photographer to get on the ball.

i have limited function in my upper body / hands and ive been slowly changing my set up so i can do as much as possible. handeling germinated seeds is not something i do but i can take my own cuts and clone them, transplant, feed and prune them. harvest time brings some sticky times, its slow as hell trimming my girls b/c i remove any/all leafy material b/c i like my bud to look as good as it smokes.

if there are any questions how i do things feel free to ask, im here to help.

well, thats it for now...........Get your Grind On.

got tails............just transplanted and waiting for them to show up for a photo shoot.

i have been schooled by murphys law the past 4-6 months so i only germinated 6 BH IBL and the remaining 5 UltraSonja's that i have (previous 7 bit the dust...root aphids).

my remaining BH IBL will be germinated this weekend.

way to go breaking the ice proper after 3 years my friend!
you have 2 good strains to make hay with!
its good to hear your able to take a hands on role in your garden.
spending time in the garden is good therapy in its own way :)

my BH IBL went into water yesterday and today its tails..
so I'll be shadowing your BH grow with a side order of prophet

i have seen those......thought about using net pots as a diy and maybe cover with landscape fabric.

the U points up........the horizontal piece is ~2" from the bottom with holes all alonmg it. the vertical pieces extend to just above the top of the tote.

as i was dealing with the flying root aphids and realizing these bitches are resiliant i thought about sealing a heavy duty garbage bag around the base of the stem, containing my entire pot, and then pulling a slight vacuum and replace the o2 with co2 to kill them.

i didnt have to resort to that but i wanted that as an option for all future grows.

having a sealed room would be nice but not feasible at this time. with the buried U shaped pvc i can seal one upright tube and adapt the other side so i can pump co2. i can seal the top in many ways but i would use the insulating foam board and cut out an insert to fit snug just below the rim of the tub. split the insert down the middle and notch out around the stem of each plant and tape all seams with the Au tape. to seal around each stem i would use something inflatable. i would hope this would be air tight enough to keet the co2 levels high enough to kill bugs but if it doesnt i would modify it so it works.

RA's........some say use a systemic cure or tear down but thats not an option for me. all my meds grown are consumed by me, no sale here........its too cumbersom to supply myself let alone someone else. dont get me wrong, ill help anyone with legit med issue by liberating themselvs from street brick schwag or pre mature pesticide ridden Krippy, Fire or Dro. ill give them any cut they want and help them learn to grow, ill burn down with them and maybe give them a few nugs but dont ask to buy.

if so its

EDIT

ill post pics of the tubs im using later today........along with the BH IBL & Ultra Sonja's.

sorry for the rambling post..........smoked a bowl of MNS Shit topped with co2 extracted keif.

Steele, i cant wait to try the BH IBL....only veggin long enough to take clones so i can start selecting the M & F........excited to try the F's.

got that..........treated a few in veg but i found that fresh Worm Castings killed them.

i transplanted my Chemstone cut in 100% WC and she is loving it.......so much she is thriving and now in FF HF soil / WC........everything else was transplanted in 50/50 coco / wc.

i try to avoid any pesticide if possible but have stuff on hand if i need them. just happy the wc worked for me.

ill get pics of them along with the GrindHouse girls.

Hey SSH, pulling up a seat to this 1 also ;). Can't wait to see some pics and GL on the the grow. The US keeps bugging me, I didn't grab a pack for the Xmas special because I had only enough to order the BH IBL at the time but none I may have to go back and get a pack. SS seems to find some kind of crazy in almost every strain he has. I'd like to hear more about the Crip or Crippin Blue pheno that was found along with the Merlot pheno also. Take care 1
