When I cycle the system the column freezes up.
not sure if it would if the butane was 80-90F.

The system is freezing up from the cooling effects of evaporation as the butane is recovered by boiling under vacuum. The conversion from a liquid to a gas, releases the heat of vaporization.

The vapor ends up close to the vaporization temperature, or about 31.5F, until it is compressed again, in which case the heat of compression raises its temperature, as does mechanical friction in the system.

To cool back to a liquid, requires losing those BTU's, or high pressure to turn it to a liquid at higher temperatures.

Added a 12"x3" extension on my tube for tomorrow.
Upped from 600g to 800g. Hope the yield got up 30% as well...

It went really well. Yields are are up, but wash and recovery times
increased a bit also. Makes loading a bit more of a hassle also.
It's worth it as we came into a large amount of trim that's not
going to process itself.

I bought a "twin turbo" system with 4" tubing....

I can hook up two Appians to the system...

I'll be having lbs of shug leaf to work with and looking for a pre-made sys.

It was sugar leaf and small buds, with too many
sun leaves for my liking. But I think fans are less bad
than stems.
