Mother Nature ! When your best laid breeding plans are changed by good old helpers ! LOL a big ole Panama male is spread among 9 different ACE & White Widow girls , it was set up as Panama X Panama and 3 different GT pheno plus a PCK , who knows the Bees cross may be better than my original plans ! I’m growing some bagseed from a friend. The plants are doing really well. I moved the males away but not very far. I have 5 males. 4/5 look good - one has small flower clusters.
The bees are especially loving this one male that has the most pollen flowers I have ever seen - just a white mountain on top. I’m doing my usual color coded pollination of one bud of each plant for each good male. But the bees are probably making a lot more seeds for me. Which is fine because once you figure out the best male and female, it might only be 200 seeds. Sprouting 40 at a time in a quick elimination round, about 4 months, should last me two years at least trying to figure out this gene pool.
