you can extend the life of the carbon by giving it a RO wash and putting it back in. Your millage may very. I get 2 years of use from one filling of carbon. after the first year I wash the carbon let it dry and put it back in works for me.

I am trying out a 4"x12" 200CFM Phresh filter on my 4" Vortex. So far it's been performing very well with minimal reduction of overall airflow.

I am not impressed with phresh filters so far.

Seems like they don't eliminate odor as well as Can Filters.
