ISS and Rene are probably the only BC strains Id grow out, Romulan is CALI, just because federation made seeds doesnt make the original cut from BC.

A lot of the strains in BC are PNW USA clone only strains that were outcrossed to get seeds...
EDIT: Did some research and found that ISS is actually a 1970s Cali Skunk that was brought to Vancouver Island but Ex Vietnam Vets and stabalized for outdoor growing.

Well the cannabis culture in BC did start from draft doggers from the pnw so no doubt there will be some pnw influence while many of the best in b.c have been very old lines from Vancouver island like the king family, with OD BC really gets its varieties but the fact is the pnw drives the bc market and what ever the flavor of the month is down in cali is gonna reflect on whats happening up north.. not many into the breeding but more into the growing so there is not as much diversity like cali but the people who do breed tend to do a good job, romulan is debatable on its orgins while fed did backcross the clone it has orgins in both van and in cali, while ISS is not a OD plant for the most part and most likely a attempt to create the Sweet Skunk which does not resemble a skunk

I came of age in the late sixties early seventies, and believe me there were a lot of us on the move. Draft dodgers came in droves to B.C. made friends formed partnerships, and young B.C ers went in droves to Cali and PNW states and did the same. We were as if one people, and we took music spirituality and drugs with us. In both directions.
So in my opinion,to say that a strain of that era belongs to an area is not really true.
