I HATE THE MUNCHIES!!! ARRRRGHHHHH
no really, after having taken like a month break from toking, and when I score some decent smoke, I get smashed by the munchies, nothing satisfy’s my hunger. I am pretty skinny, I remember last time was the worse when I broke the toke break. It had been a month since I had smoked, when I did, I got soo hungry, I went to bed feeling like my tummy was going to detonate, and even then I still had a little munchie urge. I don’t even have that much food in my stomach on such occasions as thanks giving dinner, though that’s what it reminded me of, multiplied by 3!!
The munchies get less severe as tolerance build, but I don’t build up my tolerance very often. Currently now it’s been one month, and a week since I’ve last toked, and I am scared.. I’ll probably find some decent smoke in a week or so, and when I do, I am annoyed that it may result in a munchie attack . . . I guess I’ll try to stick to my favorite all natural raspberry green tea, and my absolute favorite of all snacks : Toasted wheat Pita with Humus with a extra bonus, a layer of mashed potatoes (I dare you to try it) over the humus and toasted pita.. So good; good pita and humus are key.. An maybe some milk will curve the munchie attack. Junk food is the worst imo.
Is it just some certain strains that activate the munchie syndrome, or is it all types of cannabis that does this? It seems some strains are more munchie inducing than other’s, it also seems sativa's give less of a munchie effect.
Here's something you might try for your particular problem. Rather then waiting til the munchies hit to fill up, fill up before you toke. Like maybe go to a buffet place first and get to the point where you just start to get that uncomfortably full feeling folks get at Thanksgiving. Then go and toke. For me not only do I not get the munchies but in about 30 minutes the uncomfortably full feeling is gone as well. It's sort of like working the munchie effect in reverse
