hey bro what 150w hps did you purchase?

Did you end up going with the ventilation setup you listed in your first post?

DIY Light - Total Cost $90
Should be cutting out the hole for the ventilation this weekend (still need to buy the fan/filter), have been using the aerogarden up to this point but im going to try and move them to soil after this grow and just use the aerogarden for clones and popping seeds.

Bulb - $10

Socket - $5

Ballast Kit - $40 (used)

Safe Power Cord - $14

Bake A Round - $20

true man I just bought a complete fixture, ready to plug in and grow for $60 delivered. But obviously it doesnt have a cooltube and it is not remote ballasted so heat MIGHT be an issue... we will see..

Any suggestions, on how i should set it up for optimal growth and lumen usage, would be appreciated.

Edit: should i take it apart or keep it all together?

Hey bud, what are the dimensions of your cab? You mentioned a top area in it? Can't really get a feel for it with those pics.

hey man, my ballast actually isn't running too hot. My bulb seems to be hotter than the ballast...

Temps stay around 79 with lights on, keep in mind this is from 7 P.M. to 7 A.M.

I have the 150w HPS complete fixture and 4 CFLs in there right now...

Hey man! Hope you have been doing well. I’m really happy with the aerogardens performance to this point. Thanks, it’s fun and it’s my passion.

Boy most of everything is still being designed and built, I’ve decided to grow with my bulb vertical. The filter will sit on the bottom in the middle of the cab, attached to some dryer-vent, then to the cool vert cooltube with my 150w, then back to dryer-vent up to the fan/exhaust.

Cool man! I would love to see your setup! Sounds like it’s a great environment for your plants with a nice spectrum of colors.
:woohoo:
With the doors closed (and no ventilation yet) I’m seeing humidity ~90% and temps ~85*.
With the doors open (and passive ventilation) I’m seeing humidity ~50% and temps ~74*.

Nice big cab you got there.

Thanks man, I have been working hard to setup the cab right the first time. Hopefully you will finds some nice buds in here a few months from now. Hope you are well!

Looking great budelight, your plants are super healthy and happy. I have a buddy who always tells me about how awesome aeroponic systems are, maybe he is on to something.

The roots sit in the the nutrients. It takes ALL the work out of growing. I posted the link to the one i have a few posts up if you want a small starter setup to clone or germinate in. (EDIT: Dont think i posted it actually AeroGarden Classic 7-Pod with Gourmet Herb Seed Kit )

Try this also AeroGarden Garden Starter "66 Site" System
