Hello all,

I would like to propose limits on picture sizes within posts.

What am I talking about? Some folks paste there pics in a thread in large format causing slower thread download times.

It is my opinion that those that do post in large format in threads force a slower downlaod time on others including myself that may not be interested in the pictures but rather the content.

Now I understand that folks want to share thier accomplishments and whatnot with everyone...and thats kewl-I do as well. But can you not keep them to the usual smaller size and let the those who wnat to look at it closer can click in on it and still have reasonable download speeds.

In forums such as the Grow Diaries where plant porn are expected...this is another story as I would expect to see large spreads.

What are your thoughts?

theres a way to keep everyone happy (except lazy web admins, not that i'm saying there are, i'm not here often enough to know... ok, this bracket content is getting out of hand...) by having a reduced size preview of larger images... may i propose a practically sized 640x480 or something like that which actually allows u to see the picture, rather than just a thumbnail. that way there's no posts with five 2 meg images clogging up the 56k snails.

but of course, it's just a suggestion. ;) :)

Hello all,

I have DSL and download at about 1000 kbits/sec. Not blazing fast but not dial-up either.

And that is not the issue.

yea for real, iv got fiber optics and I don't have any problems loading a 40 post page with nothing but full size pics, but thats the beauty of having a 15/5 connection.
