What was the premise?
I was just remarking on Portland a great place I worked and lived before and the brave people there in that are willing to fight fascism.
All of a sudden as usual a couple of assholes chime in about something they know nothing of .

Most people don't call 50+ days of violent riots, "fighting Facism" . I am aware that some on the left has turned any opinion , they disagree with into the new definition of Facism.

I had to laugh at the idiot mayor getting boed by the rioters, and pepper sprayed by his own police.

Any mayor, or governor who fails to protect the public, should be thrown out of office.

The federal government has the authority to arrest and prosecute anyone who attacks a federal officer, or facility. Duh.

Fascism in Portland? This is one of the things that make me LOL hard. Imagine destroying your city under the premises of "I'm fighting fascism" while in reality most people see you as the fascist.

it's easy to justify your actions when the right's narrative from the start of the protesting has always been a hard focus on the property damage, and rioting over you know, the actual causes of the property damage and rioting..... mishandled covid, capitalism is failing, out of control policing, authoritarianism on the rise, systemic racism is run amuck... but yeah just focus on muh wal mart being destroyed.

The truth is that they've been stockpiling weapons in case the "shit hits the fan", but ultimately they ended up being the ones who threw all the shit. Now everything they've ever claimed to need all those guns for is happening and they don't give a shit because it isn't happening to them. The powers that be keep people like them around because someone has to lick their boots clean of all that blood and grime.

Define libertarian. You can't be a socialist, and a libertarian, they are fundamentally oppositional.

you should really look up the history of right-libertarianism. it's one giant PR campaign by wealthy industrialists and capitalists and giant companies as a way to inject their own ideologies into politics without the two party support. The first right-Libertarian political party platform of 1972 says it all. It's more akin to neo-liberalism than it is to actual libertarianism.

Just curious, were you as critical with H1N1? Pretty sure 50plus million infections, no lock down, no mask. The only changes I saw were no minors in the hospital, only because I had my first son, jan 25th 2010. We weren't allowed visitors under 18.
