Small scale grower here. For security reasons we haven't bought smoke in over a decade & a 1/2. As someone else pointed out, the prices are obsene! & I can get much better quality out of my cab. If we're running low, I'll occationaly barter wine & other stuff w/friends that grow on a much larger scale than I do. I haven't mastered multiple strain grows so we end up smokin the same strain for months on end. Rarely having any variety on hand really sucks though.
Stay safe everyone & :smoweed:

Grow my own, don't buy it unless I'm out, or a few special strains I will always buy if they come across the table. GSC, good OG Kush and original chem dawg ill throw down whatever for if its top shelf.

Everyone seems to be of the opinion that they will cough up some bucks for some extra special head candy.

Not me, unless its cheap weed.
Price and quality are the main reason i dont buy anymore. In my head im still comparing to the weed i used to get consistently for 2 years, now 10 years ago!...
25€/5g or 100€/25g for perfectly grown, flushed cured dried pot. They were big yielding strains like shivaskunk but it was grown just right! Those guys knew what they were doing.

Hello all,

Yes, I grow and many of my brothers and sisters are too....and they are coming out of the closet and growing outdoors.

The local gardening store is booming and every year for the last 8 years has grown by 10-15% each year...so I am told. I am also told that it is not Nasturtiums or tomatoes that account for their increase here in my part of the redwoods .

Its a great day.

I grow because I'm addicted to it...
Growing, not smoking... Well OK... I might get a lil cranky when I'm out of bud but life goes on...

Besides, I can't afford to buy or I wouldn't eat much.

Been paying for weed up till 5 months ago. ..(1st crop cut)
15 + years of Brick-weed @ $50 a oz
Then MMJ hit and I was tossing a ave. $250 a oz for 2+ years..
Last year(flying blind) i Went out and bought some clones. ..Grew them out. .
Thought I was golden, till I sprayed for mite in flower.. ops..
Lost the whole season. 7oz of trash. . BUT...
Lessons learned and more $250 oz bought.
Then I decided I needed a better plan..
I bought 6 different clones and was gifted some seeds.
This season was 3 waves/grows..
1st- prove strains-get smoke...
2nd- Try different grow styles
3rd-make some seeds

Well..
I now have 10 strains to chose from.
6 oz to smoke on—11 oz Vac—sealed(Saving for a rainy day)
Seeds at the bay and testers out being grown by good people.
Must me a good 12-18 oz in the tent on day 68 flowering with more seeds on board.

Moral of my tale.

Have a plan. Stick to the plan.
Grow more than one strain for personal smoke.
If at 1st ya don't succeed .. Grow, grow again. ..

Wait...

What...

GROW

I haven't bought since I have started growing, like 8 years ago.

Nothing on the market around my area compares....

I am a grower and a buyer lately. With all the dispensaries in Seattle it is fun to try out everything available. If I didn't try it I may never want to grow it. It is cool to smoke all of the strains I hear about in places like this. I am even able to buy real Trainwreck, nice cuts of Blue Berry and so on. I am growing some weed and if I get tired of it I can just go down the street to one of so many dispensaries and get something new to try. I would have never tried Herijuana if not for the dispensaries and there are others to try too. Not to mention it is almost getting so cheap to buy that it is better than having to babysit a grow operation. I have an ever lasting supply of fresh GS Cookies and Cherry Pie. A new discovery from the Galaxy on Rainer Ave South Seattle.

Interesting that many growers are still buyers...

It's faster to try things out that way. I can run to the weed store and drop $10 on a gram to try it out and see if it's worth growing.

that's how i figured out my cat likes deadhead og and while not a chem fan, i'm a fan of purple chem.
