just got it and i think i like it. I just dont trust that no butane gas is getting in at all, because then it defeats the purpose of it. If you have one or tried one what are your thoughts on it....?

I dont have one but I know you need to use TRIPLE REFINED BUTANE!!!!Other butanes seem to clog the system!!!!!!!

The Iolite rocks, and they keep on making it better. I still have my second-generation Iolite that I have owned for three years, and it's working like a charm. The new ones are supposed to be even better.
BTW, where I live you can find good butane at cigar shops, and upscale liqour stores. You know, the ones with humidors inside.

i had one, and liked it alot! but gifted it to a friend who got lung problems... would also recommend using vector or other multiply refined butane, to keep the device cleaner. the only thing i disliked is, once you turn it off, the iolite will be releasing some butane for a minute or two, to empty the "mini gas chamber".

I have been using mine non-stop for nearly two years and it still works perfectly. It is the best portable vaporizer you can buy. I use this 4x purified butane:

Yeah im really liking mine, I just get a little worried that some butane can leak in. I think i smell it when i first turn it on and off but off i get because its actaully releasing it...also seem to need to refill it after every use...the butane that is...lol
Im still getting use to it since im not sure exactly when the bud is actually useless anymore since it dosent burn it...

I opted for the Magic Flight Launch Box instead of the iolite when I was doing portable vape research, and wasn't that impressed with it. It's small and discreet but that means small hits. I get high but it's unsatisfying. Maybe I expect too much because I usually hit my vapor bros thru a glass on glass attachment into a bong. I love hitting a fat chamber of milky vapor.

Just want to bump this thread and get a consensus of how many people use/tried this?
Just picked one up and am impressed. Don't have much experience with vaporizers, tried em only a couple times before. It concerns me a little just how hot the plastic can get, and was wondering if others got that hot? If I leave my finger on their it will burn, not severe enough to do good damage, but enough to hurt.
Also, I smoke ALOT. When using bongs, I have to change screens/clean stems every other day. Can you reload the iolite when its hot, just keep burning and changing the bowl w/out letting it cool down? I'm talking running it at least 20min straight with 3+ bowl changes. Doing that 3 times a day, maybe more?
I have no problems babying it and letting it cool down, this thing is way better than that wooden box my friend had. Took at least 5min to heat up, tiny glass tube that barely held any bud, and everytime you reloaded the tube, you had to wait.... Buuuutttt.... if I can abuse this thing I would be more than happy to

yeah i had one and i sold it off. didnt get me high.
might have been a production error in the early units or something, since others seem to be happy with it.
even tried it on lightweight smokers and they couldnt catch a buzz from it.

This is what I've been doing with mine, Its been a long time since I used it. It did break once and not ignite but i sent it away and it got sorted. That was a couple years ago now. Cleaning it I also mis-threaded the heating pin and it keeps falling out now :/
It does get you baked but there's something about the other cannabinoids I miss when using it to vape so I always just hit the ROOR instead now.

Haha, nice attachment, have the white one aswell. I too feel like their is "something" missing. I will be getting the optimizer accessory (the 3 prong thingy). My biggest gripe with this thing is that I don't get big hits, which might be why the stone feels a bit week (vaping brings on a very creeper stone anyways). Hopefully the optimizer will allow me to cash the bowl in 1 or 2 hits, and give a freight train type high. Takes forever to fully cash the bowl, and its not as rewarding as hitting off a joint... but man it does taste soooooo goood.
Upon further experimentation, I do recommend being careful when you "hot swap" the bowls. The plastic doesn't get quite hot enough to burn, but the bowl sure does (duh!) I need to get more of them so I can just change em out.
Can't wait for the new version of iolite where it comes with bags. Just attach to the mouthpiece and fill em up
