I dabble in Ham radio (passed my Radio Ham cert when I was still in my teens)
was a way from it for a while but now back using a mix of Radio and SDR's
currently I track the weather satellites and the Amsat communications
as well as the ISS
I also love the old 10M band and the old CB's and have a fully modded Mk2 Cobra 148 GTL DX from the 70's that I restored

I also have a few SDR units that I use to listen in to 2m / 70cm radio and Dstar etc
as well as a couple of modified GPS antenna's for the Geo stationery inmarsat network to track ACAS and shipping info
and a dedicated Pi setup for ADS-B to track and plot aircraft within a 200m radius of my home

and a few antenna's set up for each frequency

my 10 / 11m setup and my Cobra and a composite IR weather map from the Russian M2 satellites

I "was" into CB and had a tram set up with a bi linear booster. I lived in Westfield NJ, my apartment was on the 3rd floor of a Victorian house, my antennae right outside my window, a whip that want way up and was partially hidden by the oaks

I could step on people in Maryland

Can recall evolving from crystal sets to Heathkits.
The fascination with the potential...
Always thought custom built antenna were neat as could be.
