Folks, it does NOT take mucho coinage to grow pot.
Nor does it take a big fancy set-up.
I have grown bag schwag in a closet using shop flouros and incandescent, and would be ashamed to show y'all my grows...but ya know, I have grown some amazing stuff in those ghetto grows.
I have also seen some amazing things come out of cardboard boxes.
I want to show y'all my latest box. It is as simple as can be. I originally built it for my dry box, and it works fantastic. But, I decided to get a little bit more out of it. So, lights...fans...action!
The Drybox
The box is 26" wide x 18" deep x 26" tall
For drying, I use my DIY carbon filter ($50), run through a 6" Suncourt ($27) and out the side. Four 3" holes covered by cut-to-fit furnace filter make the intakes.
The box is simple construction grade plywood screwed together, with two hinges and a lock hasp on the door. The interior was painted flat white with Walmart spray paint ($.98 per can takes 2-3 cans)
The doors are light proofed with auto grade weatherstrip from HomeDePot ($12)
I added a 150HPS ($20 vapor tight Econlight DIY of course) and a reflector hood that was made from a piece of Dow SUpertuffR insulation board. I can make about 8 of these reflectors from one $12 sheet of the stuff.
I have a 4" table fan from Walmart for airflow inside the box. ($12)
I probably have another $15 in cable and caulk for the seams.
I stained the outside of the box with some deck stain that I had left over.
This box sits atop my regular grow cab.
It may look a little hot, but they seem happy as clams.
I had two cuts that were being LSTed, one ThazexSK1 (left) and one very vigorous Mandala plant. Both are in a planter box.
Once the canopy has fully established, I will shave out the bottom trash.
As simple as I could get it.
Hopefully it will inspire a new grower.
