Is alu extraction tubes bad for me?
I have read that the plastic is not good but what about aluminum?
Peace
Consider making your own with parts from Glacier Tank:

We had our borosilicate tubes made by the local scientific glass shop in lots of (10) at a cost of $1/in plus $10 to close the injection end, flare the filter end, and fully anneal the whole thing.
You might check out the local scientific glass shops and see if they are interested in making a run botanical extract columns.
Hey grey wolf, do you have a website to order a clamp to hold your screen to those glacier tank tubes? I know about hose clamps, but I see people using very nice ones with that style of tube that look like they go right onto that circular end.
Hey GF did you have the end welded for butane injection or did you come up with some other method?
I know you use close system extractors, but if you were to just use the sanitary spools for butane can extraction what would you recommend?
Also does anybody know about how many grams of material can fit in the sanitary spools per 12" or whatever?
i thought many butane cans were aluminum, aren't they?
I would just use a 1/4" FNPT to 1 1/2" Triclamp end cap.

We get about 4.2 grams per cubic inch of prime bud reduced to 10 mesh. That is about 75 grams per foot.
Hey GF please excuse my ignorance, but does that piece need to be welded on? I have basically no metal work experience.
Am planning on ordering in the next few days so I can get started.
Would you recommend 1" or 1 1/2" tubing?
Also do you think there is a max length you shouldn't go past? I was thinking of using a 4' tube, but if you think I should keep it shorter I most certainly will.
Once again excuse the stupid questions, but I just want to make sure I proceed correctly.
The ones I've used are steel. Do you know what brands use aluminum?
