In at least one sense, we are all aliens. However, IMO to believe that Earth alone holds intelligent life in the midst of such an incomprehensively vast universe is egocentric.

yay, it's ignorant to think we are the only living creatures in existence when we as humans don't even really know how big "space" is. Were just turd in the punch bowl.

Aliens in space? Of course there are. The universe is too big for there not to be.

Extraterrestrials on Earth? We're just a bunch of monkeys who learned to stand upright and dress ourselves. If anyone had the know how to cross the voids of intergalactic space, why the fuck would they want anything to do with us? It makes no sense whatsoever (except to increase television ratings).

When I was a teenager I got all fired up about Erich Von Daniken's book, "The Chariots of the Gods", about how Earth has a long history of visitations. I was really impressed with his photograph of a Mayan relief mural which showed a guy at the controls of a rocket ship with flames shooting out the back end. The photo cut off the end of the flames.

Some years late I mentioned Von Daniken to an anthropologist. He got a real sour look on his face and dug out a book that contained a photo of the Mayan guy at the controls of a rocket ship. This photo didn't cut off the ends of the flames from the rocket exhaust. Turns out they weren't flames at all but corn plants. Von Daniken had to crop his photo so as not to show the full ears of corn growing on the plants. Total fraud.

No aliens?

How convenient to suppose we have no friends or enemies from out there.

The inconvenient truth is that we are not the smartest beings and we do have superiors who posed as gods while they enslaved us and took our gold.

History is full of myths but some myths have some truth.

I had telepathy with a man who claimed to be alien and I saw a real UFO so I think that they do have plans for us. I think there are more than one kind of alien from different federations and perhaps the good guys will win. Can't predict the future but to say no aliens are even out there is like some guy sitting on a beach wondering if there are people on the other side of the ocean.

I think there must be alien life on other planets.

But space is really really big so unless they have developed a way to bend space time (warp drive) then they are not going to be able to reach us or any other aliens in a decent time period.

Even if they can travel the speed of light, the closest ones might be 60 million light years away and thats going to take them 60 million year journey to get to us...

Since i believe that the universe started all at once in a kind of "big bang" event we all had to start evolving at similar times. this means they would have to get a really good streak of luck to have evolved on a planet undisturbed by major natural disasters long enough to develop the brain capacity to be considered intelligent. livable planets have existed in the universe for about 11 billion years and it is totally possible that some alien races are much more advanced than us but it is statistically improbable that these ones are close enough to us or have the desire to get to us physically instead of just spy on us from their own planet(s).

and even if they were spying on us from their own planets, if they are 65 million light years away they would be looking at dinosaurs not us.

this subject can be talked about forever but the bottom line is that we just dont know.

only now I see I need to try some bog seeds!

however, your whole bit about aliens enslaving us for gold is way too influenced by the late Zacharia Sitchin, not my cup of tea to say the least.

Rabbit, Chariots of the Gods is pretty cool, the documentary is amazing, even with all the bits of bullshit here and there, the music and photography are super enjoyable!

peace!

i go back and forth on this one, some times i feel totally skeptical and think the sightings are just black ops advanced science projects that we have not been told about yet. when seen with our normal level of information these objects appear to defy the laws of physics as we know them. i some times think governments tell us there are no ufos but still they behave in such a way that you are forced to conclude they are hiding some thing. so one assumes it must be the alien question. but it could well be a way to explain the latest advances in military flight capability. on the other hand if you research this stuff you will find quite plausible people telling quite unbelievable stories that they supposedly lived through. it's all very strange, just recently the pope came out with some statement to the effect that there could be aliens, wtf? i was more inclined to believe it before he made that announcement lol. but it's also strange how many ex military and radar operators as well as pilots all have their stories to tell of incredible encounters. in the end it's like going down the rabbit hole. anyone wishing to do so might check out the disclosure project on youtube. it's fascinating what some of them relate and these are all highly professional people. so either they are lying on purpose, or what they say is what they really believe.
