 :jump: :jump: Guys..
it has been like a bloody Seance all week..

is there anybody there..... :petting:

Meaty..they are great m8..

you still have fattening to come.
Those buds will swell to try to fill the internodal gaps.

Keep up with the flower ferts...
and yes..I would sugar fert in the last two weeks.
They certainly see to like it as you found out last year.
Only thing to watch..sugaring does seem to increase the smell.

What heights do you have on them 10 inch and 14 inch....?

Cheers WAMEN.
Everything is coming up roses ATM.

which one is that..?

I am looking at her and thinking if you can grow one like that indoor...
in what looks like no more than a 6 inch pot
Why the Hell would you want to grow Outdoor..

Bugs..Animals..Humans..LEO..and the chance of Rippers..
versus Little Miss Perfection you have there..hmmm.... :chin:

Girls look good Mossy.I was astonished to have the Sweetloaf flower first.Do you know much about her? I was gifted F2's from a friend. He is from Denmark. No it wasn't Esbe.
Wondering if she had some auto flower traits..Don't think so just super early.Very sativa looking too.
Your creations are really nice bro.Very impressed. Is there lowryder in these.I know you have White Russian in there..doesn't matter but i love their uniqueness.
Could you briefly explain the sugar feeding? Thx bro..
Meaty..looking good..peace

Wondering if she had some auto flower traits

Unfortunately all my research has been done specific to my girls and LR so I don't know the Sweetloaf....BUT..
I had the same with a BlueMystic x White Widow medical cross that didn't have LR or ruderalis anywhere near it.

Homework suggests that Way before the emergence of the Original LR as we know it..
around 1984-1986 ruderalis was mixed into a lot of commercial crosses.

It was the New Thing...but
Most growers didn't like it..
some absolutely railed against it..
and it kinda fizzled out..

but it let the AF genetics out into the wider field and a lot of todays strains still carry the recessive gene.
If the circumstances are right..it can reappear.

There is also the paragraph on the Maj Botany book that says if you cross a tall straggly Thai to a low fast flowering plant like an Afghan that you can "make" a plant that carries very similar attributes to an AF.. :chin:

and if you consider how many times That particular cross has been made you can appreciate how far the phenomena can spread through the commercial growing stock.

In short... :biglaugh:

I would say you may have an AF..
which way are the flowerbuds arranged..
symetric or asymetric.

Rule of thumb says asymetric..long-season
symetrical budding..AF.
but it is not a cert.

This perpetual harvesting is working like a dream for me ATM.

The timings work like this.
Think harvesting for bud only..8-9 weeks from germ to harvest.

The girls on the back row were brought to transplant/sex..3-4 weeks.

The girls in the second row were germed when the back row sexed.
Germ to sex..3-4 weeks...

making the back row almost ready to harvest.

When the girls in the second row hit transplant/sex time
I germed the front row.

By the time the front row hit transplant/sex time..the second row will be almost ready to come off.

Perpetual pot.. :jump:

Looking at it from the breeding point of view...
it gives me 3 weeks from the time the back row girls show sex to grow a male in the middle row..to pollenate the mature girls in the back row..

Ditto the second and front row.

It gves the girls that bit extra time to mature before they are stopped with pollenation.

M

an if you don't have space..it works sucessfully in one large pot.

6 x ALF#3 adults..40 ltr pot.
plus re-germs..
there-germs won't get big..but I am only germing for a male..so it is no problem

I love those cute little fucks:) The idea of combining with different Afghan genes sounds incredibly appealing to me - polyhybrids are much more resistant towards inbreeding problems.
Variability in aroma/flavor and other "matter of taste" attributes will probably be there for many generations but I don't think it's a bad thing - it's nice to know you're up for a surprise, as long as you know it's gonna be something good.
I'll take my time to read more about this project later.

Cheers Ganja Smile...
some very nice projects you have going in your home thread too.

Cheers blackone...
The idea of combining with different Afghan genes sounds incredibly appealing to me

It kinda tickled my fancy too.. :chin:

but the Original idea came from esbe..
I saw a friend growing his TAS..triple afghan slammer

and it insprired me for the ALF...afghan little F*ck

ALF#4 should be started shortly..
mixing the ALF#3 with Deep Chunk..
I am looking forward to trying That one. :joint:

Guys..watch the math on the ALF#3 pot above.

I can see that if I took them off now..I am going to harvest between
3 and 4 ounces dry.

Now...if I use the re-germ into the same pot method..and can replicate the harvest results. . :chin:

Count my season from mid march to mid sept..
Sow the first ones under light 1 st March.
Outdoor 1st April..Re-germ

First harvest 1st May..re-germ.
bringing them on like that will give me a harvest every 4 weeks..

so I will harvest 1st of May, June, July, August, Sept and I may have to put the last lot to finish under light for 1st Oct.

So I have 6 harvest points.
6 x 3 ouces is 18 ounces=
18 ounces @ 25 g's per ounce works out at
450 g's over my growing season. :jawdrop:

That is ALMOST as much as I yielded on my big long season girls.

I IMPRESSED meself when I sat and worked that one out.

That is impressive Mossy!! I am a fan of your ALF's too. They are perfect for container gardening.
I think your alf x dc will be very nice. What are the percentages of offspring that will autoflower you reckon? I have Esbe's GG2 x tas x dp going this AND hi C99 x DC...Awesome vigor in the DC cross. Both of them. Can't wait to add some of your creations..then my garden will be very well rounded.
How long can you veg your alf's indoors w/o having proublems with them wanting to flower? You've got my wheels turning now..lol

Thats a very nice overall season yield my friend. Keep it up your garden is looking good. Looks like they like your weather over there.

What are the percentages of offspring that will autoflower you reckon?

I would have said 100%..
BUT..I have picked up a slight variance..

I have pinned it back to 1 particular hybrid in the crosses..so I am hoping to iron it out as I go.

How much variance.. :chin:
in all the germinations since spring on the hybrids..
I have found 3 non-AF's..so very low % wise.

How long can you veg your alf's indoors w/o having proublems with them wanting to flower?

Not at all.
They are Auto-Flower.
You have no choice in it.
No matter what light conditions you put them in..they will auto-flower.

Auto-flowers do all their vegging in the first 3 weeks of their lives.
They have no adult vegetive growth stage so you haveto treat them right from the start because unlike long-season girls..you have no catch up time..

but I do notice that you have some of your big girls in buckets..so you have the right equipment.. :D

HHH...I will mail you shortly.

Morning everyone

Not to much change this week except the smell. I fed them ferts and was spraying them last night and a shield of skunk hit my nose. Holy smokes they smell great. Not sure on the heights il check that out when I post the pics. Also how long do these go? They just passed 4 weeks flowering. Just wondering becuase I need to know when to flush.

Nice math there mossy I wouldnt mind 450g's of bud over the season :joint:

Be back later with pics.

 Meaty..I surprised myself when I calculated out.

I think I have
2 x 1 ouncers
2x 15-18 g'ers
2 x 10 g'ers when they are dried...
almost 4 ounces from plants put in on 27/6.

I am getting less weight per plant multi-potting ..
but it is the best yield from the pot per season.

8 weeks FROM GERM and they should be done Meaty..always depends on your light.

Since they have just woofed..I would give them another 2 weeks.
They develop a lot of weight around 2-3 weeks after they start woofing..
and sometime run on into fox-tails.
So I think you should still have weight to gain.

but just watch them.

All AF crosses go into a state of trance when they have finished.
Nowt touches them and they just brood..no movement.
That is when they have finished.

Try a test bud.
You need the high THC content too..and I think you get it best off them while they are young.

I had jobs to do upstairs and when I sat down I had no bud...
so I went and raided the drying box..as you do.. :joint:

One pheno has been neglected..over dried..brown and crispy.
So I took a bud and crumbled it with my fingers.

after a few puffs it started burning up one side and smoking like mad.
I thought I had a seed and went to flick it off but just as I did it went phutt
and a little patch of oil blossomed on the cigarette paper.
When I looked at the smouldering end..where it joins the paper..it was bubbling oil.

Three times it did that down the length of the smoke.
I was mesmerised.

When I got to the end of the smoke..I was paraysed.
Man was it an evil bitch... :nono: :nono: :nono:

I was stuck on the chair..with the sun burning on the back of me neck
and me legs refused to move.
I was stuck for ages before they felt as if they would hold me up. :petting:

Ding Dong... :kos:

I will tell you which cross it was when my legs re-gain the strength to walk the stairs again..

Have a great weekend everyone.... :joint:

Sounds like you found a winner there mossy! Sometimes the strains surprise you no matter how they look.

Heres the pictures as prmosied

Hey Meaty..they may not have bulked up a lot..
but I am sure you have had a tric riot.. :woohoo:

There looks a lot more there than last week for sure.

If your camera has a flash on..try them on a forced flash.
It reflects on the trics and really shows how much coverage you have.

Looking good m8..I bet they are tempting you hard by now eh... :drum:

Time to get a couple more germed..
they look as if they will be off shortly....

If you have WR X JEM..can I recommend them...
(if you want to lose half a day :muahaha: )
They are the ones I tried yesterday.

I think that because I had dried all the green matter out..
the heat was exploding the trics..and the only place they had to soak into was the wrapper.
but it cattled me for a few hours.

Expertsetup..unfortunately all the satellite broadcasts in our area went down on Monday.
NO TV at all....no olympics..nowt.

and no sign of it coming back in a hurry..

Still every cloud has a sliver linning..more time to gaze at the girls on the patio. :muahaha:
