Hey, thanks for the update, Zanddar. I was wondering how things were going.

Maybe the Malawi is not the ideal plant to grow from seed if it takes that long to sex. Every day the males sit in the flowering room waiting to sex is a day of wasted space.

I like to breed my plants.
So nice males are always welcome.
I wouldn't want it any other way.

Ace does offer a Malawi fem if you don't want to make seed.

I got 100% on this last pack.
Another 12 sprouts to choose from.

These are some flower room shots with lights on.
Few more plants coming down this week.
Will have more room to move around later.

Zanddar, those are beauties. I love the look of those long slender sativa leaves. Like you, I make some seed nearly every run, so I don't mind good males in the garden. But most of the males get chopped so feeding and lighting those feels like a waste to be minimized.

Feminized seeds? Haven't been able to pull that lever yet.

Anyway: I sent in my order to ACE yesterday: 1 pack of Malawi, 1 pack of Panama, and a freebie pack of Nepalese Jam. Looking at the ACE thread, it looks as though ACE did a run of Nepalese Jam seeds in the fall/winter of 2007, so I suspect my freebie seeds will be 5 years old (maybe dubi can confirm?). Should still be fine, but I'll need to use them soonish and make F2s if I want a good selection to choose mommy and daddy from.

Anyway, your Malawi grow has me totally motivated for a long patient grow. Cheers mate, and keep up the good work.

These plants give us so much.
To me,allowing the plants to produce seed naturally is the way to give thx.

You can't go wrong with Malawi or Panama.
Both strains are potent and beautiful.
Life is short.Use the time wisely.

These are my 12 germed seeds in pots.
We will see what comes up in the next few days.

This is a Malawi clone. They clone well and vigorous.
Clone is sticky and stinky.

Thanks for support our work komboloi :)

Last nepal jam reproduction was done outdoors 2010 if i remember well, very healthy, fatty, perfectly matured seeds that are very vigorous to germinate. They are stored in very nice conditions so the stock will remain perfectly 2-3 years more .

Zanddar, you've got one hell of a southeast African freight train barreling down the tracks. You've got months of fun lined up. Fingers crossed for a healthy and bountiful set of multiple harvests.

On Track

All 5 females at 4 weeks.

M8 was the best looking plant in veg.
She still looks the most interesting.
Can see some color on her.

M10 is another very strong plant.
Beautiful plants to grow.

Each pic has a plant number.
Pick your winner.

Have a great Day. :)

hello every one

my Malawi are still young, about 3 weeks, however I have 2 with narrow leaves and 4 with rather broad leaves, is this common? also just wanted to know if there are different expressions in the Malawi. thanks for any input

Stimp, different expressions are a given almost always. I wouldn't be surprised if in tje next couple weeks you see the new growth really slim down from the wideness of the younger leaves.

lots of phenos. dubi says look for ms. frosty for the killer mum. there is a very potent fast malawi pheno in my homemade gt f2's. i haven't seen her in my malawi pures. i'm seeing 1 very purple male and two kinda purple males along with one pretty frosty female in my first 5 seeds out of pure malalwi.

no hermies (great for landrace genetics!).
