Lately I have been drying in a large tupperwear tote. Big thing. I have wires running every few inches to hang the branches. I have a small fan on one end. Just enough to move the air. I have a loose 6 mil poly sheet on top to let some air out. I have Calibers in there to monitor. When the Rh drops lower than what I want (60%) I put the tote in a 55 gal garbage bag. Big 3 mil black plastic bag. I can then seal it or leave a little open, and watch the Rh.
I do this for a week. This time I'm going to shoot for 60% Rh for that week. About 67F.
Anyway, I jar after this process, but don't see why you couldn't use the aquarium, as long as you had the clotheslines. You could go from green bud through cure.
are you doing this to dry or cure? I made a gabage bin dry box that I do for about 2-3 days then we go to jars, and use this method religiously. Of course my dry box is not air tight.I cut out hole in side and have a 5in fan "sealed" in. It blows OUT not on the buds. We put a cover over the top to limit air movement and prevent overdrying. it works.
