Yukon, ever stand naked over a river bed and throw a spear at fish? Cause that'd be cool.

Why stand naked and freeze when you can wear a bear hide and be warm?

Another hunter here, you won't find any taxidermy trophies on my walls, but a few skulls and face skins. Not trophies either really, admirance and rememberance. Reminders that we humans serve a greater role, one I can't simply explain in a thread.

I hunt to feed my family, I hunt to help maintain the populous of the critters in the area and prevent them from disease/infestation, and other atrosities. I'm extremely selective in my take, and I'm in no means ignorant in thinking I can't also be hunted. I am human, and I am still very much a part of the food chain.

Like the creatures around me, I thrive and am subject to natural selection. Though I use modern tools and means of communication, I still haven't forgotten a roots speak, and can communicate with the land... a skill most of mankind has long forgotten.

But rather than teach and preach, I'll simply say I am a hunter. My ways may never be understood by any one else, and anyone else's ways may always be foreign to me. Though I can communicate with the land and its inhabitants, its my fellow man that doesn't understand me. I merely accept this, and state:

Yes, I am a hunter.

Supreme Court May Decide Intent Of Second Amendment The Court is to decide whether the Second Amendment says individuals have a right to own guns. The court could announce as early as Tuesday whether it will hear the case. Why is this even being discussed???

The Second Amendment reads: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

That does not mean the your State National Guard either, lol The 2nd amendment has Nothing to do with hunting of any sort, well except tyrant criminals.

I posted this here since all freedom lovers and hunters alike can see the criminal element in D.C. we are facing here today. The right to self defense is old as life its self we must posse the necessary tools to survive.. unless your one of those who count on the govt feeding your ass when the next depression hits and your fine fighting over a box of corn flakes & bottled water in a stadium parking lot.

Oh well maybe the traitors in the NRA will finally wakeup…I doubt it though their lobbyist for profit who have even helped these crooks. Those interested in your rights please visit the gun owners of America they are not for profit the only non compromising gun activist we have.

Also, you should find a post where I insulted anyone on a personal level. Have fun.

Boldface and pointless capitalization is irritating and makes you read like a 10 year old. If you want to get a point across, learn to use our common language to do so.

Until broccoli screams when I kill it, I'm not going to worry about it. Stupid argument.
When you say "stupid argument" it is insulting to me. I didn't call anything you'd said stupid & in fact although I saw you were quite opinionated on everyone elses replies I didn't mention you at all in my post. I just stated my opine on hunting & knew you'd have to have your say about me too.......
My reply back to you was certainly at a personal level

You challenge everyone with the most obscure types of analogies.

It doesn't interest me enough to dig through & copy/paste every time you used condescending tones or statements to others posts but here's one anyway.......

Humans also all don't die peacefully, so why shouldn't we all be shot?
everyone else can read through & find them if they choose....... they are out there. The first analogy you used in response to me was ridiculous, so my attitude for you went downhill from there. Your responses were agreeable to many sides of hunting and game management but when you choose to differ in an opinion you are definately condescending about it, nearly always taking the 'high ground' in your position.

And lastly. If the bold faced type pisses you off....... I can't help that.
You'd like to make it look as though I did it here just for emphasis or to be LOUD about it. But if you'd bothered to look at my posts (thru my profile pg) previous to being in this thread I ALWAYS use bold print and colors etc....... If they didn't want us to use 'em then they wouldn't be available to use.

Again your reply above that I look like a ten yr old just shows your frustration at such a trivial matter & an attack not worthy of the time and effort it'd take us both to argue the matter. too trivial, as it was in your first reply to me.

I tried not to sound too over the top or accusatory here marx. just pointed out moments in this thread where what you stated might be taken as inflammatory by me.

And thanks, you made some valid points about me I'll give a bit of thought to about in the future marx, I won't be replying here in this thread again as it'd just be about you and me. pm me with any thoughts if you'd like a response, I'll be sure to read your reply here in any case. Peace.......

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sport

Sport: "an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc."

unnatural: "contrary to the laws or course of nature."

Are humans contrary to the laws or course of nature? If we are natural, then everything we do is also natural, unless you beleive a chipmunk CAN be unnatural. To stop and say humans are not natural, is in my mind and attempt to insult scientific research that shows that we are natural products of nature. To say that our species is unnatural is silly, unless your a Christian, Muslim etc, so am I dealing with sane people or theists?

I don't negotiate with terr.. erm, theists.

I only hunt 2 animals. Deer and Squirrel. I have been hunting since I was 5 years old. Been lucky to inherit enough land to hunt on comfortably. (175 acres) Had a yard sale recently and it seemed that everyone commented on how nice the spread was. It really made me think. I have always hunted here and never really thought about "Having it good". I have shot deer leaning on my truck. Never taken the land for granted. There are alot of people who are really passionate about hunting but have to hunt on state land. Some of the game we shoot are given to friends who swap work. Mowing fields and posting signs. They are as good as kin here. They put in, and are entitled to their share. The other people we let shoot for meat.(out of season) Some neighbors are really disadvantaged and we let them hunt out of season just so they can feed their kids. They are working poor. Anyway I would rather shoot the deer that is going to run out infront of your Lincoln Navigator, or Escalade than see someone ruin a 50,000$ SUV. I would have rather shot that that squirrel that my buddy Dan tried to avoid on the road and totalled his car to avoid and wound up with two broken legs. There are two ways to kill eiether one. Firearm or vehicle.

There's nothing wrong with hunting. We evolved to do it thats why the 'thrill of the kill' exists. Thats why we rule the world and cows dont. People can argue morals as much as they like but to me, whenever anybody tells me I cant or shouldnt do something its more about power and control than actual morals. These people just want to tell everyone else the "right" way to life. Socialism under the guise of superior morals - I think its pathetic. Same goes for the environmentalists.
