6KW double vertical: Grandaddy Purple & Blue Dream

Back when I used Coliseums, the concrete wire was 1 foot from the center, so a 2 foot diameter wire-cylinder.

General rule of thumb, 1 ft of plant volume, screen, 1 foot air, cool tube with bulb. After you do that, your main problem is getting higher plant numbers for an even growing canopy, and sufficient root zone size.

^^^great advice, thanks! sounds like i have some dialing in to do. so are the coliseums 6ft in diameter or what? ...1ft stem 1ft bud, 1ft air, bulb...

day 17 12/12

day 17 12/12

heres pics of the rooms. this is my best yet i think, its winter so no problems with bugs or heat. im hoping for 10+lbs.

one problem, POWDERY MILDEW came on my fuckin blue dream clones.. i ignored it and they kinda outgrew it.... 1.5months later and they are looking fine except a few ladies have some mildew fuzz growing at the base of their branch stems and also a few spots on the big leaves. I asked my local shop for Eagle20 , no luck... anybody know where they sell that shit? or any other solutions?

i dont want to be 7 weeks in and start seeing white shit everywhere

the blue dream is completely filled in floor to ceiling, the grandaddy didn't stretch as much and has some gaps as you can see, but hey there's still time!

handwatering is going great, got a new pump and watering wand and i only spend an hour a week on watering now, i've dialed in the timing so i dont get any runoff. i know a plastic 3gal pot like the back of my hand at this point.

i will get better pics soon i know the quality is off the charts :tiphat:

now off to check my stadium

and set up another 3kw worth of Sour Diesel in tents

oh yah

Looking good, bro - methinks I'm gonna upgrade my 4 600s to 4 1Ks on a flip flop for better penetration.

1' is kinda close for plants to be from 1Ks, though (even vertically hung).

thats what i was thinking... maybe Liam was talking aout 600's? good call with the 1ks, if you can afford the power bill they sure are bright...

my shelves are arranged in an 8ft square, nets in front so the canopy itself is about 2.5 - 3 ft from the lights, making a ~6ft diameter square-ish cylinder

with 600's i think 1 - 1.5ft would be about right

Yeah, he must've been - my plants start about 27" from the light, so I'm not sure how close they're gonna get - will have to wait and see - shooting for 18" finishing, but time will tell.

And the 1Ks would lower my bill, because only two would be on at a time (1&3 and then 2&4, alternating every hour or two - same setup as my avatar).

So 2K watts vs. 2.4K watts for flowering (kind of like 2K watts on a light mover, but instead of moving two lights I turn 4 on and off).

Never truer words been spoken....dude this is OFF the hook, I used to grow ONLY Blue Dream but they take sooooo long to finish correctly I went to more quicker strains

Btw - The Goo is looking great!

Keep on brudhha.

I'm growing a northern lights/blue dream cross right now, just flipped to 12/12, will posting a journal with pics as soon as I show bud signs, always loved blue dream, the flavor, the high is nice and happy!

Schrerws,
Been lurking on this since you put it up. Props man, looking great. How hard is it to get inside? I must have missed it. Do the racks roll to the side so you can access that light or tie up buds?

Lookin sweet!

Lots one can do with some cinder blocks and some boards.

I've been itching to do a stacked light garden, but I always try to keep my plant numbers low and it seems like these 360 degree shows all require high plant counts..

Whats the lowest number you think one could do in a setup like this and still get worthwhile yields?

Or is it just more suited to drop vertical bare bulbs into bushes and forget stacking them altogether?

Please buy a new camera, interested in seeing the GDP finish, I (think) I have a cut of it blooming atm. What do you mean the blue dream isn't? Some other strain? That's a bummer because I am smokin on some right now and it's real nice, I am thinking of picking up a cut for later ventures...

Nice work, your grows are sweet!!

sorry for no updates, no camera etc.., i harvested these rooms last month, and am setting up a new run.

pulled 4lbs of Grandaddy, and 3lbs of "blue dream" that looked like white widow

as always, with 20/20 hindsight i can see that i should have vegged the Grandaddys longer, as the stretch was minimal and hindered my yield..

The other room was a disaster, mislabelled clones with PM meant i was fighting an uphill battle the entire time... still managed to get 3 elbows with a strain that i have never seen before, and will never grow again...

now setting up a double vertical, one room 707 Headband, one room OG Kush.. I will be running these strains for the first time, i got the clones from a trusted source so hopefully the problems won't occur again

all my own clones are reserved for outdoor season, so i will have to venture into the unknown again.

look out for the new thread
