7 days and take them out
I keep them off to the side of the light until I see them getting taller
I have run 6/9 before and also maxibloom 7gram gal. Under 50 watts per sq ft of led. Grow northern look a likes from china and Gotham hydro chrome. I allways get red stems. (Like the whole main stalk) I feel like I am under feeding because I have too much light. I just trying again with only half the LEDs on (25 watts to the foot) and things are less red. Is it possible I need to feed more. I have allways be scared of burning them, but have read of so many people having good results with 6/9. I'm thinking they were using less light per sq ft. Frustrated. I have read the whole head goes coco thread.
For the first year I used hps and despite being new to growing I got ok results. Then Went to led and things have just turned red. I have obsessed over ph going in and coming out. I noticed when the pH gets to 6.3 on the runoff the leaves crinkling twist. And when the runoff is 5.2 there little bit yellow. So I was changing my input pH so that I could maintain a runoff pH of around 5.8 But when I put water in I tried to keep the pH between 5.5 and 6.3 while trying to steer the runoff pH to 5.8.
I've been trying to feed only 5.8 pH and not look at the runoff pH. But I still get red stems. I don't think it's genetics because I've got the same Red stems with 10 different strains some Sativa to Indica's
