iam in same position.flowered my plants last week and 4 got to clone em-its been bout 5 days as well-iam thinkin of cloneing best 1-just 1 r 2..............dont think its good to take clones from clones for many generations.......maybe some 1 can help wit tht.good luk
5 days wont affect em too much, might make a couple leaves curl on you. With seedlings I typically veg them for a few weeks, then toss em in 12/12 for a couple days to force them to show sex - when I know whos what, I cull out the males and toss the fems back into veg. I have also revegged plants from 10 weeks of flowering as mothers and revegged plants to vegetate for flowering again. Won't hurt em a bit.
you know you can take cutting from plants in flowering, just not LATE in flowering.
I would have left the light cycle where it was, removed the "mum", and re-vegged JUST ONE PLANT, or taken cuttings from that plant (doesn't matter which one, since you are working from cuttings)
5 days is long enough to trigger flowering, just not long enough to SHOW flowers. (unless your a 24 hr vegger, like me, then you get flowers showing in 4-6 days)
it's generally NOT a good idea to screw with the light cycle, other than the switch from long days, to long nights,....so I wouldn't go and make a habit out of it.
I say you'll be fine, but you might see some hermie activity later, WATCH FOR THAT, other wise go smoke a bowl.
I have never kept a mother and Ime you can clone from clone as many generations as you want without any loss of Quality or vigor. I have even taken and rooted cuts that had popcorn buds on them. They take alot longer to root but make for one hell of a bushy plant.
