Anyone know how much btus? or w/e it is that a 400W MH would take up?

HID lights produce 3.4 BTUs per watt.
So that 400 is theoretically throwing about 1,360 B.T.U.'s, that covers the bulb and then theres the heat from the ballast to factor too. Nothing like running a space heater indoors in the summer,eh.

an aircooled hood helps a bit, but AC is what you need... cheaper than a good hood anyway, walmart 5000btu window units are $78
I'm running the same rig as you right now, fortunately that's all I'm doing and I've got a whole basement to dlspense the heat...

Ya looks like ac is the way im going to have to go..thanks i didnt know an ac was so cheap but what the hell do i care i just need it for my babies. Which 7 have germinated and 4 have sprouted. Growing some bogbubble!
