Hello,

I like to make a question:

Is possible have 3600 ( 6 lamps x 600w ) in one 25 amps, 230 volts switch?

thanks.

u could ... but the thing is a 25 amp is rated for continued loads for 80% .. so if 20 amps can be used 24/7 then ya ur good.. but with fans n everything else needed for a grow its cutting it close!! ..

With the number of plants you'll be growing under 3600 you'll probably want some dehumidifiers too. A mid-size dehui pulls about the same as a 600 - about 5amps at 120v.

If you only need that circuit for your lights, you're good.

I think your supplementary equipment will run closer to another +/- 10amps at 120v.

thanks for the answers.
in my home, i just have 230 volts and not 120v. the ballast has run at 230v and not 120v...
the ballast box says the ballast works on 2.85 amperes...

p=v x i
p=power (watts)
v=volts
i=current(amps)
therefore 3600/240= 15 amps that is continous, start up is often alot larger

You could, but using 2 x 16 amp breakers would be better. That is if you'r using it only for the lights.
If not, add another breaker for the rest of the gear.
