Hey all,

Here I have clones of 3 panama red phenos i selected from my Breeders pack pheno hunt.

Ive always been an organic soil grower but wanted to give the auto pots a try with coco medium and salts to experiment with a different growing technique.

so far I’ve been blown away by the growth rates, health and vigor. These plants are absolutely exploding and it’s shaping up to be a nice run so I thought I’d share here, hopefully I can keep them in this kind of excellent health all the way to the end.

Currently they are getting fed RO water with cal mag @ 6 ml/gal, maxi grow and maxi bloom @ 1 tsp per gallon (1/3 maxigrow, 2/3 maxi bloom), hydroguard @ 2 ml/Gal and silica blast @ 4 ml/ gal. EC is around 1.7-1.8 ….. PH gets set at 5.6 but usually drifts upwards to around 5.9 where I adjust it back down again.

We are beginning second week of 12/12

This is pheno #1, the wildest pheno of the bunch. Very NLD and super vigorous …. Getting ready for a major pruning

Looking good. Maxibloom/grow seems to work well in coco with calmag,

Thanks brother :D

So far the combination has been flawless. Hopefully it stays that way! :good:

The only issue I was having was the PH rising on me in the res, however, I think I’ve figured it out.

I was using the same empty milk jugs to mix my thick syrupy organic soil nutes as my autopot res nutes. Overtime the organic nutes create a film on the bottom of the container.

Thats no big deal in soil, but little pieces of that film were breaking off and getting into my res and I think it was causing bacterial blooms swinging my PH.

Its still to early to say definitively but bow that I’ve used brand new jugs and am doing a quick cleaning of the res with every refill things seem to be staying much more stable. I’ll know in a few more weeks if this seems to be the cure. :good:

Outdoor panama recovering nicely from lockout from my indoor coco experiments after being put outside straight into soil, and she’s starting to flower. She won’t finish mind you, as we are heading into summer and the hours of daylight will be increasing from the current 11.5 up to our max of 14.5 so she will have to reveg, then switch back into flower in fall when the hours drop again. I’m not sure she’ll make it but I’ll keep feeding her and watering her anyway for the hell of it. See if she hermies out or not. If not it’ll be a hell of a stress test.

Very nice plants sir ... the autopots are addictive ... after 1-2 attempts ... the conventional way in the soil seems boring and slowwwww.. .Growth with autopots (branches and secondary branches) is such that conventionally in the soil it takes crazy time for corresponding growth ..

Agree 100% my friend! The growth on these things is insane.

we are bow at Day one of week 3 and they have stretched uncontrollably lol.

These same clones in soil were very very well behaved, in coco and autopots they stretched to an insane level. I’ve now resorted to bending, cracking and breaking stems in order to keep them from growing into the light and burning up.

Next time I will be sure to flip them much much earlier, I cannot believe how much differently they grow. Wowza

Panama red #1 is now around 6’3” tall

Looking fantastic for wk 3! Super healthy looking plants. Great job my friend!

What is Panama Red? Is that just a specific pheno of Panama? Whatever it is I'm looking forward to watching it progress! 😁

Yup … these are all red phenos out of their panama line. I did a pheno hunt earlier in the year and these were selected for a second run.:biggrin::biggrin:

Ahh I gotcha! Sounds awesome. 😀

I'm about 2 wk's into 11/13 on some Bangi Haze, Malawi, Malawi x PCK, Killer A5, Super Malawi Haze, and PCK x Kali China. So you're a bit ahead of me! I'm hoping to find some nice phenos out of these girls. I also set aside 2 males for pollen collection, and took clones of all females. 😁

Here's a crummy pic from my phone at Wk 1. Hope you don't mind me sharing! 😀

P.S. How many seeds did you go through to find a keeper? Breeders packs are 40 seeds no?

Nice man!!! You’ll find some gems I’m sure!!

With the breeders packs they are separated into different phenotypic lines…. So most if not all of the selection work is really done for you already so it doesn’t take much. However, I’ve now ran 9 plants out of the breeders pack and 25 regular plants. So I think 35 panama plants total to wind up with my keepers and I am doing a seed run only to get some extra stock for the freezer to preserve the line in my collection

The breeders pack run had 9 plants, 3 plants from each line (all fems), and of the regular seeds I ended up with 15 females and six males.

How many times per day are you feeding OZZ_? Have you seen any magnesium deficiency with your plants? I’ve been running into some issues with a super malawi haze in coco under leds, but yours are looking great. They also don’t look like they have any nute burn, which is encouraging me to up my EC. Ace recommends “high levels of nutrients” for both Panama and SMH, and I wasn’t sure exactly how high that meant.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of this run, it seems like you really have things figured out.
