Update day 25 - 12/12

Hey there,

just a little update, day 25 from the flip. It looks like the heat caused no problems to the girls; As I wrote before, I think a big thing are the SmartPots!
Here some images from tonight:

Most, not all, portables are way inefficient. Many people have to replace them because they exhaust smell. Good luck. -granger

Thanx man, I didn`t buy an A/C, I`m happy with my dimmers and right now, the temps are almost perfect:

Tent Daytime: 24 - 27C - Outside Temps ca. 16-20C
Tent Nighttime: 20 - 23C - Outside Temps up to 25C

Hey there bro. I personally feel a a/c is all but a need for a perfect climate. I can get a nice portable a/c of Craigslist around my area for about $150. The portables set on floor an have a tube that vents out. They are the bomb. You'll love it if u get one an so will your babies. Hope this helps

Thanx for your advice bro, but I think about an A/C if we ever hit the 35C or more for more than one week here in...

So.. the heatproblem is gone (not by an A/C, but now I use active air-intake with a 400cm³/h fan directly from a window - before it was just a passive one, which works in spring or autmn), everything looks pretty nice, so I decided to just go on with this "grow-report", as it is my first real indoor-summer-grow.
And also it`s the first time SmartPots are getting used.

Update - day 30 - 12/12:
The smell is getting more intense now as the resinproduction already started, the stretch finished (I wonder where the real stretch was..., as the girls were sent to bloom at about 30-40cm after 37 days of veg) at about 55cm (Blue Hash) to75cm (SuperSkunk/OGKush) (trained main-stem on each plant, so about 5-10cm shorter as maybe untrained).
Still they drink a lot, about 1,2l every second day for the 12l Smart Pot (filled up 10,5 - 11l).
right now I water every third time watering with pure water, about EC 0,3 and pH 6,5 - 1,2l
when they get H2O + Nutrients it`s about EC 1,3 pH 6,5: 50%(= 600ml) - and another 50% of pure water (EC 0,3 pH 6,5) before feeding, so all in all 1,2l of EC 0,8 - pH 6,5 on a feeding-day.

Given Nutrients right now are:
Hesi Blühkomplex
Hesi Phosphor Plus (starting slightly from now)
Hesi SuperVit
Hesi Powerzyme
ADH pH- bloom

Watering, done by hand, is more easy now since the Pots stand on a "pyramid-stair" and the girls have more space like this. I made positive experiences already in past grows with this method, when the tent was too crowded. I thought about that, when I was playing with the idea of a vertical grow. But with plants from seed, different strains this idea was gone quickly.
So this is a diagonal pyramid grow ;-)
more space to grow = higher yield

So far, next update with images

Looking really good earl! :good: Good thing you have dimmables for the hot days.. That ak48 pictured in last post is getting real chunky.. what kind of smells are you getting off the group? Have you ran nirvana genetics b4? If so how do they compare to the originals they copy in your opinion?

I ran a single bluehash freebie from Dinafem a few runs ago and it turned into a nice monster blueberry hash plant in the end that produced very well.. should of kept her but had to make space for bigger n better things I guess.

I feel for u. I had heat issues too & fried some very new seedlings. I need to replace a lot of prehistoric equipment! One thing at a time, everything's breaking down! Good to see the dimmables are helping. I'd planted 7.8 or 8.7 (?) grms of seeds, put them under the lights & my exhaust fan DIED! 4 days of 106º F & was only able to save 6. But I do have 34 others from another batch. These are all going outdoors to a gorilla grow. Circumstances caused me a late start on this years outdoor grow, but all is falling in place now. I'll be going with ac should I decide to attempt indoors during the summer again!
- Best of luck! Hope the hot spell doesn't stress them to hermie. :)

Hey Deo, thanx man, I`m more than happy with the girls ;-)

Nirvana Genetics I only had once, Nirvana Special which isn`t a copy.. produced best in Hydro, was a 14 weeker, but anyway... the AK-48 compared to my memories and my pictures of the AK-47 - the look is really very similar, the smell also, very fruity and sweet with lime dominating - right now there are 5 AK girlz in the garden, all of them showing same growth patterns, but flowers are a bit different, but not one fluffy one. I`m really happy with those AK-48s!

Also the Dinafems are very nice, only had a Moby Dick as freebee last time and it was great!
The Blue Hashs are 3 girls, all very uniform in growth, small, compact, hard branches, rockhard buds, dark green, very indicaish look. I think I should have vegged her bit longer, I`ll do for next time with the clones I took....

Thanx Catbuds,
Yes, it happened... I had some little hermies on an OG Kush and one Blue Hash, maybe a real small amount of self crossed female seeds I`ll have for future... :dance013:
So, I think I could tell, that from the 5 different genetics grown right now (Super Skunk / SensiSeeds, AK-48 / Nirvana, BlueHash, Critical Jack, OG Kush / Dinafem), the OG Kush and Blue Hash have the biggest heat problems... Or better to say, the others have a bigger tolerance, could also maybe be a breederthing... But I don`t wanna guess.

So, folks... after chopping, trimming, drying and curing I am more than happy with the results.
Had the 2 600s dimmed down to 2x 400W more than 4 weeks all in all because of the heat with up to 38C!!!

I vegged to short as I know now, because of this hot temps at nighttime also, the girls did not stretch as expected. Not to forget for next time!

Had rock hard buds and strong but not very smelly or tasty, also I think because of the heat, because terpenes start vaporizing already at 28C...

So all in all these were about 750g on about 3qm with two 600W dimmed down to 400 half way through.
I think the smart pots did a great job.
Not a record, but for seedplants in more or less bad conditions, not so bad ;)
