2K "15" plant organic living soil - 1st grow

Lucky to have such a sweet kick down of amazing soil that other plants are known to be thriving in. Slow veg with some relocating and sickness from a couple gallons of water I used from my new place. Recently cloned, cleaned them up a bit, and dosed with ACT before being thrown into bud just a few days ago. After that first watering gone wrong, I set up a 30 gallon rainwater collection :) My "guide" grower friend identified some root aphids, and luckily they were all dead! lotsa good bugs and happy worms being found. This will become a no-till garden if all goes as planned - ha. Currently reading Teaming with Microbes ( i know some of the author's info is debated) and looking at the beginners study guide to soil thread. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=207215

Mostly mazar, some blue mystic, a few g13/haze, either a blue orca or the one, and one The Black.

Since the ACT (and before even), the g13xhaze is still hating it, but everything else is doing much better. No room next round for this picky sativa dom I guess, as this is a medical grow with a numbers game. I'll post some before and after.

Enjoying watching them grow and thankful for all the help I've had to get growing :) Any and all input is grately appreciated

cool thanks RR, I think the closest resemblance would be the "tank beetle". All I saw were dead ones in 2 or 3 pots. weird! just floating in the water like the description. And stuck to the side of the pot... should I be on the lookout for another attack!? Figured what ever imbalance was there is gone now but that's definitely just a guess!

I have had the "micros", and thought I was rid of them until just recently. About 6 months ago I did a couple of treatments with imid and thought my problems were solved. Just last week I noticed more of the little bastards swimming in my runoff, so looks like I will have to take a more aggressive approach. So you should always be on the lookout, not just for the aphids, but all pests in your garden.

Hello Miss GD,first time in a new room is always going to be about working the bugs out. Fortunately this set up went without any major issues and will be a nice garden.

This is the exact same soil mix I am running in my garden now....my G/haze's don't appreciate it either, but the buds are still average size and will be potent smoke.

This soil contains crab shell meal and neem seed meal for use in interrupting the life cycles of destructive pests. Once they try to make that reproductive loop through the soil..it's over.
Crab shell meal contains Chitin, this is what the insects exoskeletons are made of.
By adding crab shell meal and building up a population of chitin eating organisms, the insects are attacked by these organisms in their most vulnerable state..the larvae or pupate stage....eaten alive.
The population of R aphids in this garden went into a downward spiral and I expect they are about done playing around in here shortly,if not already.

Neem seed meal acts in a different way,I'm sure most are familiar with the benefits of neem against pests.

Picked up a bag of seedling mix contaminated with root aphids, pretty standard when buying bagged mixes. Easy fix for with this soil.
The one watering with the city chlorine treated water was enough to put a good dent in the health of the microherd...after the ACT things turned around 100%.

Not a picky Sativa soil mix, this mix is for big hungry hybrids...the picky Sativa's don't dig it....and that's okay, cause they probably won't end up back in this garden.

The Mazar-i-Sharif loves it.....as do the vigorous IBL's
I expect this garden to recover from the residual chlorinated watering effects in a few days and produce well. Those pesky G/Haze will make decent flowers even if all the leaves decide to burn up. Everything will go fine and the next crop will be better because I'm going to kick her some hefty feeding hybrids ;)

Hey Miss GD...try taking pics with the HPS off or just coming on,that yellow color in the pix won't be there.

Peace
CC1

Another miraculous comeback notched up for compost tea. Thanks for sharing. You're in good company with the other folk here, I'll wish you all the best and leave ya'll to it.

Nice grow you have going. With the genetics you are running looks as though you know the right people. Welcome to the club.

Compost tea is one of the simplest solutions to many problems. Also using an EWC slurry will have the same effect as a tea and is much quicker to use.....no brew time involved. Water, EWC and a quick whip and water in.

Keep us posted on how things are going.

Much thanks y'all! Exciting indeed~ definitely feel privelaged to be a witness to these beautiful genetics! The idea of creating outside inside is really capturing my interest and I wouldn't do it any other way now that I 'know'. I heart this garden! Mad props to CC1 for the kickstart.

V ~thank you that is super cool to know :) ! an even simpler solution to a simple solution!

Super fast EWC slurry. 1\3 bucket EWC 1\3 water and mix with a cordless and a paint paddle. Pour onto containers.......finished.

Lazy? Brilliant! ;)
Much thanks V. But what is that "drill" thingy you are using? kidding...

I will have to raid CC1's closet for some real bud porn, but I have to say watching my first lil' buds pop is hot!

Thanks to those who are tuned in, and thanks to those who are tuning ME in! Much appreciated~ updated pics coming soon~
