Camera is gone... and so is my new $2000 pioneer 50''flat screen. I have a beautiful board up where my front door was. thank god the only room A and the veg/mom rooms are up and actually completely hidden Dr. frankenstyle behind bookshelves & moulding. I dont think the thieves knew there was a grow in here at all. THANK GOD. its American bulldog time. my bed gets here next wednesday and I'm packin 1 32+1 mag and 2 21+1's with my open racegun. And here I though the neighborhood is safe. I have a low voltage specialist comin down today to wire up a new alarm that is loud as hell and calls me when there's a break in. steel rollout doors, and my trusty 1187. Im actually really surprised that this happened yesterday. Im gonna mess with em really good though. bullet proof plexi front doors & windows, motion recording cameras, and renters insurance buys me a new TV and security system. Im also moving in now. too much ridin on this to have break ins before even blooming. I'll see if I can borrow a friends cam to shoot, but after today's spending I cant get a new cam for a few. I will post pics as soon as I can. sorry for the delay.

yeah man, I shoot uspsa, 3-gun, ipsc, idpa, gssf, pinshoots and steel challange. For 3gun to keep up, one needs a semi auto w speedloader, rifle sights or red dot and +5 tube extension. These kids were punks. This would of never happened if I was there, so I'm gonna be spending a lot of time there with 4 cams on S-Video of my new TV. I ordered 2 plexi steel framed doors Like a casino or bank. 1 entrance in the building. And a "receptionist area" enclosed by the second door which will both be mirror tinted, and polyed black. I got an alarm up that auto dials me, motion recorders w mics. And a new 400w HPS motion floodlight. I think I spent more on the 2 doors, board up, and surveilence gear than the equipment and lease. I might be pickin up 12 quantums tomorrow so I may just run 7200 watts consistantly on the flip every 12 hours this run. + a friggin mag coil econo ballast crapped out on me today so I figured WTF... Heck, I have 4 more 12.5'x17 rooms. After this run maybe I'll grab 24 more hoods n bulbs, and rock 48 hoods off 12 quantums. I see a significant increase in my gpw with this idea. Brad, I can't wait to hear your results bro. Are you running 1 room internally flipped, or are you flippin from flip to second area? Do you know of anyone running 4 hoods off 1 ballast???

I'm reading your posts and thinking man, why the hell not just have a ballast for every light and a computer controlling all lights 1 - XX. In theory (because I'm not a programmer or know of an exact program) a computer could tell any and all of the lights to be on or off at any moment in time. So are we really talking about $300 ballasts now? It look like you invest in your operation with an eye towards return, not short term cost.

Also I am not an electrician (don't laugh at the photo it is posted for educational purposes) and this ghetto setup has run for 5+ years. That being said, I have scheduled in a IBEW friend who is going to run 220 cable the size of my arm and install a new control box. I'm going to call him and tell him that I'd like to be able to individually power any of 20 or so outlets. After he laughs at me and tells me what he really can build for me I'll report back. My goal is to see what your idea will do in a 10 x 10 room with 4 1KWs (2 on 2 off).

Thanks for getting me thinking of this. I love what the desert does for my resin production, and if I can cut my electric in half I'll just have to double my production!

They sell kits, I forget the exact name but me and my friends all program and he was showing me, you write in their little domain specific language, the kit sells motors, PH sensors, light sensors, temp sensors, you can write your program to do things let open a drip valve to control PH, control your lights, temps, exhausts, anything you can think of... the stuff isnt geared towards growers but just towards robotics enthusiasts.

Some guys at MIT went further and put robotic arms on roombas and had em riding around in the greenhouse, obviously you dont want to embark on anything of that scale tho lol
