wow, I've never had a thread with no responses. It's also the first time I have not really said anything about a grow, especially while there were no bud. Not that impressive I guess. Well, I'll get back to it when I have more time. I usually give a whole breakdown of what I do and how I do it. No time for that right now though.

It's AK-47 from SR-71 at 9plants/16ft2 with advanced nutrients. I've never ran this few plants per table, but this AK is a fast growing biatch, and the ladies in there are already prob too big.

6 x 1000 lights up 007. I have 16ft2 of flouro's for clones and small plants as well.
Those fans are hung upside down over the aisle, which is nice and out of the way without crouding plants.
@ Dimebag - sorry we never had time to chat. Things have been busy lately with this 6 lights, the outdoor ladies 200miles south of here, and a little 3 plant gorilla grow I started up last week.
I've grown out that AK before, and it is a fast grower for sure. So fast that I'm trying to run her 9 plants per table, instead of the usual 16. That bitch branches everywhere on you though. I pinch her out when there are 4-6 side shoots, then keep those shoots pruned to only the growing point until a week or so into flower, so growth focuses onto her gorgeous tops. Last run I didn't do any pruning, and ended up with alot of wasted larfy bullshit. Her tops got fat anyways, so I'm expecting them to be pretty massive this time around.
She is a frosty, candy coated lady as well. Smell makes me think of powdered sugar, with a hint of cherry candy or something. She won hands down over most of the gang of 20 something strains I ran last round as testers, with the exeption of the kush's and Sour D. She's the best yielder of the top potency strain I have in my collection, which is why she gets a go.
I'm going to be startiing up a small breeding project here pretty soon here too. I'm trying to put a little weight on a blue moonshine and SFV Kush I've got with a Critical Mass. I think the sweet/skunky/cheesecake bouquet of the CM should clompliment both nicely as well. The CM turned out pretty nice as well, but was missing that special something that the BM and SFV definately have down. Gonna be hermi'in the CM to polinate then BM and SFV with, so if all goes as planned, I'll have some femmi seeds to go on a nice clone mother search in a couple runs
Any of you guys go to the San Francisco Hydro show yesterday? That shit was off the hook I'll tell you what. I picked up so much free nutrients it's insane. I've got enough House and Garden and Cutting edge to do a whole run with each, 6oz each of Purple Maxx, Gravity, and Bushmaster, a gallon sample of GH's new "floranector", which is like Sweet, a gang of floralicious plus, all kinds of bottles of Liquid Karma like stuff, T-shirts, lighters and pens up the WAZOO, 2 120 dollar bottles of "Roots excellerator", and the list goes on.
Some really cool stuff too. Prob most noteworthy was a fully automated grow controller you can make adjustments to over the internet, and tissue culture setups.
I may be getting into tissue culture here sometime soon as well. Lots of possibilities with tissue culture. Being able to keep "mother" stock in baby food jars! Insane just to think you could have stock of a few hundred strains in a refrigerator!

Excellent!! great information 20Kw, sounds like you got the cherry pheno of the Ak as well!!! that was one of the things i was going to ask... i have heard nothing but raving reviews of the cherry pheno Ak47

I'm real interested to see how you do with that AK now that you know how she grows. Definetly sounds like she needs to be topped.
Look like you got those drip lines just stuck directly into the slabs huh? Not even really at the base of the plants. How many drippers you got stuck in each slab?
Crazy how the reports on that SR-71 AK are so conflicting. You must have to do it right to get the goods if it was your favorite out of 20 strains.
How long you plan on letting her go before you flip to 12/12 from those pictures above? How long does she flower for?
I wish I had known about that hydro show.

Very nice grow man. I like the setup. Yeah its seems like alot of folks are there are lurkers and won't post on a grow until its the money shot. Oh well there lose. I was hoping to get down to that hydro show in the bay but it didn't work out. From what you said sounds like I should have made it down as I am a whore for freebee's. Keep this show and let me know what you think of those new nutes that you picked up.

You know, I'm not sure if it's the actual "cherry" pheno of AK. From other reports I've heard of the cherry pheno, it's much stronger then mine. The cherry smell is not very dominant.
What nutes am I running this time? lol..that's a good question...Lets see, I've got most of the AN line, but the base is actually a bottle of MJ grow and bloom mixed together with some canna coco. I just poured them all together, keeping the A's and B's seperate. That's almost gone though, and I'll be switching over to Cutting edge, probably ending with House and Garden I'm going to take full advantage of all these freebies.
I'll be using AN's humic acid, Big Bud and overdrive, and maybe that GH Floranectar, with some foliars of Floralicious plus. I have always been real fond of Floralicious bloom as a foliar, so I expect good things from the Plus as well.
As far as the light cycle, those were on day 1 or 2 of 12/12. It was last Wednesday, whatever day that was.
Dude, after going to that hydro show, I was like "why the fuck haven't I gone to these things before. It was much cooler then I expected. There is another one in Orlando, FL for anyone in the southeast. There is one in vegas too, but it's in like march or something. Next year though I'm going on a little hydro expo tour for sure. Not only do you get all this free shit, but you do learn about alot of new and pretty cutting edge stuff, like the tissue culture, led lights, pre-built 10 light rooms in storage containers, and it's all growers and people who know what's up so it's really just like a breath of fresh air from the normal hiding what I do from everybody BS.
You should have seen some of these whores at the show Grendall. People were all nudging each other out of the way to get at the free shit. I had to make 4 trips back to my car! Next time I'm bringing my camping pack for sure.
So, back to the herbs. I'm really interested in seeing how this AK does with this training as well. I know it's going to respond well. Last run I lost alot of shit to the larfmonster, but the tops were still huge. I have that new light hanging system with pulleys now too, which will let me get my lights up all the way. Last run I bought those cheap pieces of shit yo-yo's. amd besides 3 of them breaking on me, they wouldn't retract correctly so I could get the lights up.
And the AK and Widow on the left with the 2 lights is getting bushmaster in a couple days as well. They were WAY to big to start cause I've been using them for clones the last month or so. That, and I' wold like to be able to pull some of the crop a little early. It'll be nice to see a side by side of the AK with the Bushmaster. I could see the AK working really well with the bushmaster, as it would control that stretch the AK gets so good at. I'll keep that light separate to compare with a light with no BM.
All right, I'm out. I'm going down south tomorrow to play with my outdoor crop. Time for the Bloom ferts! Or maybe some all-purpose, depending on if they are flowering yet. I'll have pics when I get back on Wed night.

So the ak47 you got from the sr71 for sure (and it has a hint of cherries)? Same place as mine but havn't ran it yet. I have grown ak47 before just not the sr71 cut.

Is that 6" or 8" pipe? Is it full time aeroponic. Or maybe top fed nft? 9 plant per 1000w?

ready-gro slabs actually. coco/perlite mix. Tip fed with spaghetti lines, watered 1-2 times a day.
Yeah, it's SR's AK. Watch out though, a few people round here have accidentally gotten other strains. I think the tags get switched by people over there sometimes. The AK should be kind of stretchy, and REAL branchy. It likes a bit more phosphorous and Mg then other strains I've found. I top it to 4-6 side shoots, then rigorously prune out all the side shoots from those main 4-6 until about a weeks into flower. She'll reward you with some VERY nice tops if you do so. Otherwise she branches everywhere and produces alot of larfy BS.
I've haveing some kind of prob right now which seems to be slowing some of them down. PH meter was busted, and I still haven't got a new one, and I found some kind of mineral deposits in nutes. Probably Calcium phosphate, since I know those 2 bond pretty damn easy. That, and AN's Bud Blood is definately slowing the stretch, which when I called them they told me it would not at all...bastards.
Anyways, I left my camera down south, so no pics til next weekend.
