In particular this thread is to showcase Mr. Greengenes hard work and devotion to his strain, I'm currently on my 2nd season grow of his cherry bomb, and invite others that have or are growing the strain to share....

so I will start the thread with some shots of where im at with it, getting ready to go flower cycle (indoor)

When it warms up you should try it outside. Amazing.

Oh, and before it starts, be aware that Angus of TRSC is going to cry that this is not a landrace. He cried in several posts in the earlier posting.

OTW, good show. I am going to grow some 7Up this year and see if it needs stablizing.

I did read that thread in its entirety ....and I seen that too

haters are gonna hate....lol

but here is the thing with that...
I don't know where y'all live, but I live in a free country -kanuk
haha...and as such, who gives a rats ass about a technicality

I decided to put this thread, exactly where the original is, as a continuation....and to bolster the original thread
but thanks for the heads up...

I will ignore any negative comments from haters, as I have learned to do in life...

2020 is going to be a good year -leap year I think

that's cool, I wish I would have kept a few seed back in reserve, but I ended up using all 15 seed, 9 sprouted....I lost 4 in early seedling stages, left me with 5.....of which 3 turned out to be male and had to be destroyed....left me with just 2 females, ...I grew the crap outta them, decent yield....and made many clones, I still make clones of the clones....lol

the plants posted up, are 3rd generation clones
of the original 2 female cherry bombs

ive had way worse luck with other purchased seed...
went thru 12 seed red leb, got 1 plant...male
hows that for luck eh.....lol
I used that male tho, to try get something out of my wasted $100
and made my 1st hybrid....cherry bomb X red leb

where did your seeds come from ?

I'm a big fan of CherryBomb. I got seeds a long time ago from RMS and i've found sativa pheno as my all time fav. Now i see that Mr.G is here on IC so i hope i'll have a chance to try CB in it's original version. (by Swami)

Hello,

Mine's from a private breeder, preservationist reproduction.

I'm going to go on an open pollination, to have a maximum of seeds to find some guardians and refine my selection .

I'll have room for her in May-June.

Cherry Bombx Red leb Very good idea, is father red leb more trappu or stretchy?

With a good selection you should find hidden treasures.

It'll make up for the disappointment of the low germination rate.

the red leb male, was a bit on the stretchy side yes...
I did natural open pollination too...I let god handle it....lol
well it worked...and I got seed from it...my female was a bit on the small side
I got around 200 seed....

here is the interesting news of it....
my cherry bomb is mr g's variety (very nice)....
it is more of a sativa, longer slender leaves...
the red leb is an indica, fat n short leaves...

I got 3 hybrids growing now, I suspect all 3 are female,
(they are growing symmetrically)....the leaves are fat n short...

so at these early stages of my new hybrid, (5" tall)...
I can tell already (based on the shape of leaves) that more then likely
the hybrid will have more of a red leb dominate traits to it...
and that's pretty neat....

ive only been growing for almost 2 yrs....lol
and this is my 1st hybrid attempt, so far...im tickled by the results

I am hoping for a unique flavor, and perhaps color...good bag appeal
and a sweet unique smell when burned....THC should be around 22% +
as for the yield, I havn't a clue as of yet

Bonne .....

Guess I have been lucky. Every CB seed that wasn't smashed by USPS had sprouted.

interesting...

I wouldn't say, that in my case its the seed quality or lack of, at fault
it could simply just be me, and how I try to germinate, sprout and grow....
for quite some time ive been having terrible luck, so ive changed some things somewhat...
and seem to be making improvements....

ive tried again just recently with the very last of my red leb seed
8 seed, I managed so far to get 6 sprouts - now seedlings

only time will tell how successful my tweaks are, but way better then what I have done in the past....
I so want to grow a red leb this is a year now,, my 1st attempt from the 1st seed source
I went thru 12 seed I think it was...got 1 male (RSC)
now on my 2nd attempt., from a 2nd source (Italy)...so far 1 male, just destroyed....
but I got 6 seedlings going, so pray to jesus I get at least 1 female....

that being said, I have 3 hybrids on the go, that are doing ok
(red leb X cherry bomb).....so I am making improvements I think

-axle........................

I'mback

Comfortably numb!
I wouldn't necessarily fault you on your germination rate. I had a bitch of a time with my LA this run. They were tiny seeds compared to what I am use to.

HBA, try Swami. Otherwise some of us have them. At this stage I think I'm going to work CB Green which is something I don't think has happened.

Hola axle2u,

Can you provide some details on the flavour, bouquet and effect of the final product...plants look wonderful and assuming you have kept them going cause they are something special?

Saludos
